“Clean and comfortable.”

The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to the town, stores and restaurants. The rooms are fairly large with a very nice bed, warm quilt and blanket. I wouldn't call the rooms luxurious, but ours was very nice. They provide coffee, fruit, juice and scones in the morning and coffee in the rooms, too.

“Comfy Break”

This was a last-minute reservation on the drive home and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. New owners are renovating. I reserved this hotel because they accept pets. However, the room assigned to pets isn't always the greatest. The carpets in my room were stained and dirty. Too bad other pet owners let their dogs be so destructive. Otherwise, the bed was extremely comfy, nice tub and pleasant grounds. I'd stop again!

“Clean, quiet, cozy”

Loved walking into a hotel room and not being able to "smell" anything-just clean! Simple room with king size bed, duvet and Pendleton blanket-great! Lovely areas to sit and relax out on the lawn, polite and accomodating staff. A few blocks to the downtown area, but only a few blocks to the Brewhaus, so overall worked for us! Really enjoyed our stay in Jacksonville!

“Delightful”

This was my first trip to Jacksonville and I definitely want to go back again! From check in we had exemplary service from the staff at the hotel including great recommendations for great restaurants in town. We tried 2 and both were great! It is a short drive to Ashland and we enjoyed the great shopping and a delicious lunch at Munchies! Cannot wait to return. And those cinnamon rolls in the morning were wonderful!

“A pleasant stay close to downtown Jacksonville.”

An older house one block from the old downtown Jacksonville that has been converted into three lodgings. Large room with wood stove, TV, sofa and easy chair, comfortable king size bed and adjoining bathroom. Terry cloth robes furnished. Breakfast coupons for nearby restaurants in walking distance as well as coffee pot and microwave in room.

“Great location”

This was a comfortable, reasonably priced room in a fantastic location. We were able to walk to the historic downtown area in about 10 minutes. The coffee and rolls available in the morning were perfect to get us on the road quickly. I would stay here again.

“Great find for couples.”

It was a nice surprise to be directed to a quiet cottage, separate froom the main hotel, and right in the middle of old Jacksonville. The room/cottage was quiet, clean, and good value for the money.

“Good hotel for Jacksonville...”

It was a great location, and we didn't mind the room being upstairs. The location in town made it easy to walk to many locations. The wood floors and furnishings were also very nice. However, the conversion of the room made it fairly small, and the air conditioner was fairly noisy. The bed was also a bit hard.
