Personal visit with ailing family member. Stress

Pros: Breakfast was very nice. Room was immaculate.
Cons: More luggage carriers !
Location: Location was great for us as my Mom lives in Atlantic Beach and my Brother off St. Johns Bluff Road. Lots of Restaurants and shopping nearby.
Hotel staff and facility were accommodating and helpful. Facilities were immaculate and the breakfast service staff a delight, Holly was cheerful and helpful and she was very busy.

Wow what a great Hotel

Pros: Rooms were super clean. From the moment we stepped in the door all our needs were met above an beyond what we expected.
Location: Resturants nearby ana big mall within 5 miles
Checked in to the hotel was amazed with both the staff and hotel. There was a softball tournament in the area. Lot of the teams were staying there .You wouldn't have known it.

No great view from my room and not what I expected

Toilet was broken and quickly fixed. TV was analog cable. Internet was reasonable. Bed was great. Bathtub clean but very small and plain. No balcony. Fitness center limited, bar/food hours limited. Great towels but room layout not thought out well. Pool and spa did not look inviting. Overall ok though.

We do have both Analog and Digital Channels, I am sorry that was not made clear to you during your stay. I am happy to hear you found your room clean and you enjoyed the bed. I want to apologize for the problem you encountered with the toilet. We do have rooms with Balconies for your future stay. They are in high demand. We do try and accommodate all request for a balcony, however we do this on a first come first serve policy. I hope that next time you are in Jacksonville; you will give us another opportunity to serve you.

Disappointing

Pros: However, it was at a great location for the event I was attending in the area.
Cons: The housekeeping of the hotel needs to be cleaner.
Location: The loaction of the hotel is great for families because of the close activities such as the zoo, parks, and Dave and Busters.
First, I placed my reservation through Expedia.com and I was informed of that at least four times at the front days. I was told I would have TWO queen size beds in the room. I also request a cot and I was told the cot was unavailable because of a fire hazarrd code. However, I was give a a balcony, basically because of there error with the cot but the balcony was above the roof of the front entrance of the Marriottt. I requested that housekeeper be send to my room to clean the balcony glass doors, sweep/clean the balcony, which was dirty and sticky and the headboard was dirty with the previous customer head grease.. The housekeeper sweep balcony and smeared the glass doors however she ignored the sticky black stuff on the floor of the balcony. The stay was not as comfortable because the hotel did not have queen beds. The housekeeper asked as I exit the room if I wanted the room clean she just made up the beds, wow.....
