“great continental breakfast”

This property shares all amenities with Marriot across the street. With that said, the Marriot charges for the same breakfreast that's free at Fairfield with the difference being the Marriot serves eggs to order. Definitely recommend the Fairfield.

“Pretty good on short notice”

The room with two double beds was perfect for me and my sister in law. Included breakfast is nice and the access to the companion hotel across the street with beach access is VERY nice.

“Great beach location !”

The Fairfield was the perfect stay for me and my 22 yr. old daughter. The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean and nice. Being able to walk across the street and use the beach access, pool and tiki bar of the Oceanfront Marriott was a really nice perk! Travel to St. Johns Town Center was quick and easy. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

An amazing dinner at the old Sea Turtle Inn, now called One Ocean Resort ( I think). Beautiful entrance to the restaurant and enjoyed every bite ! Was a bit expensive but worth it !!

“Great Rate, Great Hotel..”

We were very pleased with the overall experience, comfortable room, close to great restaurants and evening entertainment, across from the beach, what more could you ask for....

“Convenient to the beach”

The hotel is across the street to the beach which makes it a great bargain. There was no TV schedule and not even a channel guide in the room. The front desk staff could not help with this. Otherwise, everything was fine and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Area recommendations

I would recommend avoiding the central part of Jacksonville Beach at night(streets, boardwalk and beach area around the park and cluster of bars). At dusk, there are roving groups of young adults and older teens dressed and acting in ways that convey trouble. Numerous homeless men on benches and on the grass. Many reports in the local paper of public drunkenness and molestations in that area. Be careful. During the day, that same area seems safe and it is certainly beautiful.

“Good hotel!”

Good hotel in a great location across the street from the beach. Numerous restaurants nearby with just a short cab ride. No complaints about the hotel...would have liked breakfast on the weekends to end an hour later!

Tamas Sushi, Sliders, Crab Cake Factory, and Mojo BBQ...all great restaurants!

“A view of the Ocean”

A modest hotel to stay at the beach without having to pay a real expensive price to view the ocean. The ocean is just steps across the street. Queen room could have been larger, but overall pleased with the accomodations.
