Nice hotel close to everything

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: It was conveniently located in the historic district near restaurants and shops.
Cons: Wish we had been told about our original room location and the train upon check-in.
Nice hotel and great location, right in the center of the historic district. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Had room overlooking the water, but realized later that night that there was an active train that blew its horn in the wee hours of the night right outside our window. The next morning the staff graciously offered to relocate us to a new, quieter room. We enjoyed our stay very much, and the train was not an issue for us thereafter.

Great location for exploring the downtown area and all the beaches. Fort Clinch that is nearby has a great beach!

good location, very helpful staff

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Very close to downtown.
I stayed 4 days. Several groups came thru, hotel kept up with the flurry of ins and outs. there was a funny smell that came and went on my floor. But overall the hotel was nice. They told me they couldn't give me a refund when I left a day early, I would have to go thru Expedia.

Lovely lobby, comfortable room, excellent location

Posted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: The location was particularly good. Close to good restaurants, close to waterfront, close to shopping. Short drive to walking/biking trails & beaches.
Cons: Pool- why is it not heated??
Location: See above
Very much enjoyed our stay. Another interesting thing to do was take the walking tour of historic buildings in walking distance of hotel. Also found an interesting antique shop down the street.

I loved our stay at the Hampton

Posted Mar 17, 2014
We had a spacious suite. I loved the breakfast and the light, airy cafe where breakfast was served. The Hampton was perfectly located by the Harbor for sunsets, shops and restaurants. The price was quite reasonable. Thanks for a wonderful three days stay.

Pros: Location
Cons: Shower for handicapped was a bit slick
Location: Art galleries, restaurants, gift shops on every corner.
We stayed here for a two night anniversary trip. Location was the best possible as everything was within walking distance. The retaurants in the area are fantastic. Loved our stay.

Perfect location

Posted Jan 26, 2014
Pros: In the heart of the historic area. A hot breakfast each morning was also very convenient.
Cons: A bar in this location would have been nice, although there are several within a couple of blocks.
Location: Over a dozen restaurants withing a few blocks. Many shops to stroll through.
This locations is 1/2 block from historic downtown area. You can walk a short distance to all shops and restaurants. We parked our car and did not need use it for our 3 day stay. This is a newer property and is well maintanied.

Nice Hotel so-so Customer Service

Posted Jan 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas, the room and overall hotel was clean. The complementary continental breakfast was not good at all. French toast were hard, sausage was dry, and there were no scrambled eggs on the menu. Also, I have been to many hotels and never has a service person knocked on my door and asked if I was checking out that day (before the actual check out time). I thought that was poor customer service and food service.
