We are happy to announce a complete resort renovation project so spectacular, we call it The Re-Imagination of the Omni Amelia Island Plantation! This incredible $85 million re-imagination marks an exciting new chapter in the resort's 40-year heritage and is currently underway to bring our guests a destination experience unparalleled in Florida. When completed in spring of 2013 the resort will offer 155 additional oceanfront rooms, a new arrival experience and lobby with floor-to-ceiling ocean views, joint check-in for hotel and villa guests, the largest poolscape in Northeast Florida featuring infinity pool overlooking the splash-friendly family pool with two nearby hot tubs and children's pool with spray features. Conference attendees will enjoy an additional 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor function space with the largest ballroom on Amelia Island.

For the duration of this project the hotel pool and restaurant will be closed. However, there's still a world of things to enjoy! Stroll along 3.5 miles of vast, uncrowded beach collecting shells, rent a cabana, play in the sparking wave-filled ocean or relax at the Dunes Club or indoor pool at the Health & Fitness Center. Take a swing at three Audubon International Certified Sanctuary golf courses not only challenging players of all levels, but also preserving the natural heritage of the game and wildlife that thrives in the breathtaking natural surroundings. Tennis players can enjoy 23 Har-Tru® tennis courts managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis professionals, while families can register for recreational programs including nature tours, kayak trips, Segway tours, Kid's Camp and the new teen lounge, Gamers.

Experience Marché Burette on their outdoor covered patio or indoor market seating featuring wood fired pizzas, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and gelato for dessert! If the golf course is your destination, be sure to check out the Marsh View Bar & Grill, known for it's grilled items, sandwiches, wraps and snacks overlooking the breathtaking marshlands and Oak Marsh hole #9. Our award-winning recreation department and management team offer and oversee a variety of daily activities and areas of leisure throughout property including 3.5 miles of beach, beach rentals, three hotel pools and hot tubs, two resort golf courses, golf academy, tennis facility and health club with saunas, steam rooms, personal trainers, classes and indoor pool. Full service spa and salon offering signature services and hydrotherapy, shopping village with various boutiques including Red Otter Outfitters and Chico's. The Nature Center provides daily educational tours, lectures, kayaking, Segway tours and Build-A-Turtle station so kids of all ages can take home their very own Tanner the Turtle resort mascot doll. In addition, it is our goal to educate our guests with each spa experience.
