“this a beautiful hotel with a great golf course.”
The is a beautiful hotel with a great golf course.
“Very nice”
While the hotel is under renovation, it is clear it will be beautiful when finished. The room was very comfortable, with a fabulous view. The breakfast buffet at the Sunrise Cafe was excellent. We took our two kids and had a nice time!
“great place for a relaxing vacation”
great and relaxing
“Amazing value for a wonderful resort”
Despite the fact they they have started renovation on the main pool area, this was a perfect stay. Lots to do and see. Great value for the money. Marche and village were great.
“Excellent Value and Location”
My husband and I have stayed at this resort on multiple occasions and will continue to visit this property. The staff is warm and friendly and eager to accommodate each guest's individual needs. The restaurants on property offer a nice variety of excellent food and are not unreasonably priced. However, if you are looking for more family-friendly meal pricing, you will need to go off property. The ocean front is outstanding and the natural terrain has been preserved in many respects. The golf course that overlooks the ocean is wonderful, but shamefully overpriced compared to surrounding golf properties. The resort offers a number of children's and family activities making it a good option for families. Overall, this resort is our "go to" place on Amelia Island and we continue to find it an excellent value and location.
“Very beautiful setting”
The property is amazing. Very beautiful and scluded feeling. The way it is layed out and the mature trees make you feel like that building is alone until you drive around and see there are so many different types of property there. Great view - Construction was going on while we were there and its unfortunate that on a weekday they started that noise at 7am. Other than that the staff was very friendly...everyone smiles and greets you. Would def stay again
“San Diego is not the same”
This is a beautiful hotel and grounds and it's right on the beach. It's tucked away from the crowds but still conventient to old Fernandina, shopping and restaraunts. It's a huge property with a lot to offer. We will definitely stay there again. The only complaints I have is that we had to pay for beach chairs even though we were guests of the hotel... and when out of beach towels we were told that we had to get them ourselves.... this while the cabana boys played bean bag toss. Thank goodness that this didn't match the level of service that the other employees gave us. Everyone else was great!
“Great relaxing time”
My sister and I went for holiday weekend (without kids) and had a wonderful relaxing weekend. The hotel is very clean and comfortable-especially the comfy beds and pillows. The staff on premises is very accomodating and service-oriented without being pushy or stuffy. There is little need to leave the premises if you don't want to- on site spa, variety of restaurants, market, shops, golf, bikes, etc. The on-site market is adorable and has delicious homemade desserts. We had dinner at The Verandah which was a little pricey but delicious and worth every penny. There is a shuttle that transports you around the premises and even into town for dinner. We arrived around 1 a.m. on Friday night after a six-hour drive from Atlanta and it was a little confusing b/c it is not very well-lit. We had to locate security to check-in after 11 p.m. but once they directed us to the hotel, it was fine. Definitely recommend for families, friends, and couples-young and old.
“It was great can't wait to go back.”
