Telecommuted at hotel for multiple days

Pros: Front desk staff and cleaning staff I interacted were fantastic.
Cons: Half of my bed (sleep number) was uncomfortable.
Location: Traffic was pretty miserable around the hotel during rush hour. Apparently, this is a Jacksonsville problem I was not aware of.
My wife was in town for a conference; however, I worked remotely from the hotel. The front desk staff was accommodating to my precise situation (helping transfer calls and getting a very late checkout). The cleaning staff was friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I did have a few pain points, most of which were not major, 1 which was major. 1) The cell phone reception in my hotel room was awful. I have Verizon and this is out of the hotel's control; however, it did make telecommuting painful as I needed to go outside to make some calls until I was able to find a work around like Google Voice to talk VoIP. Again, not too major not under the control of the hotel; but something that would affect a business traveler. 2) Bed was hit or miss. At the time of this review, the hotel had Sleep Number beds; something we were interested in trying. However, it was difficult to change the settings and it did not seem like the settings were correct (like one side could not "hold" its setting as was very, very soft. Overall, led to a person who can sleep in most of the time rather waking up early than sleeping in because of the comfort level.. 3) MAJOR - When I was working from the hotel one day, a hotel staff member randomly walked into my room unannounced using her key card while talking on her phone. While I did not have the do not disturb sign up, it was very startling at the time and led to me question the overall security of my room given a hotel staffer walked in unannounced.

Very nice hotel

Very well maintained and, even though it is right next to I-95, very quiet inside the rooms--well sound insulated. We ordered an executive breakfast that was delicious and ample that fed 2 adults for about thirty. Staff was quite personable and conversant. Not a hint of cigarette smoke inside the building.

It was a great stay in a great room at a great hotel but, I just wish they would have told me they were taking a $50 deposit out of my account. I shared this somewhat negative experience with the front desk manager, and they assured me that they would let all front desk personal know that they needed to give the guest all information.

Pros: Location was easy to find on the main route. It was south of the city, so we were able to avoid rush hour traffic in the am.
Cons: I booked through Expedia.com. Because I selected the payment option to pay upon arrival, there was a glitch in the reservation being on the books.
Location: Only spent the night traveling through the area.
Good accommodations. Provision was made for a shower stool. There was plenty of room for us to charge a scooter and still maneuver in the room.

Weekend Stay

Had a slight issue with the room reservation, but it was fixed immediately by the staff. Clean area. Sleep Number beds were NOT an issue... the bed was actually comfortable. Staff was friendly.

We had a sleep number bed that one side did not operate and was completely extended and would not deflate and told staff and they said they would fix. The next night was not fixed.

This was a very nice hotel. They have Sleep Number Beds in the room, but the one in my room did not work. Was too much of a hassle to get it fixed or move to a new room. Other than that, had everything that you look for in a hotel.
