Hotel is well locatedPosted Mar 31, 2015
Cons: update hotel
Location: There is a beach, many great restaurants and quaint town only a short drive away.
This is a well situated hotel that is showing its wear. Our room was clean but the rug was stained in a few places and some of the furniture was a bit tatered. The breakfast area was small especially for the number of people using it though the food served was what one might normally expect. We have a Marriott Rewards card but weren't allowed to book this hotel through the Marriott web site thus were denied points.

Nice weekend trip!Posted Mar 30, 2015
Our stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Amelia Island was wonderful! Our room was big and very clean. This hotel is pretty new so everything is still well maintained and nicely decorated. The staff were so friendly; greeting us every time we walk pass them. It is close to the beach and walking distance to very nice restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel. :)

Very nice hotel near the beach.Posted Mar 29, 2015
Enjoyed our 4 night stay at this hotel. Very clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. We rented bikes and road around the island for an entire day and loved it! Very short walk to the beach with public access and facilities. We also enjoyed the whirlpool! Breakfast was better than most.

Great Start, Terrible FinishPosted Mar 23, 2015
Cons: communications and customer service.
Location: Amelia island is wonderful.
We arrived late in the evening and the front desk staff made arrangements for us to be relocated at another resort approximately 15 minutes away. The arrangement included paying for this first night. When we went to check out of the other resort they insisted us that we pay for the evening. The rate was great but it was a surprise that we had to pay for the evening. I would recommend that you have the new resort sign acceptance of those charges prior to occupying the room.

Excellent hotel within walking distance to the beaPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort and proximity to beach.
Location: The beach and local restaurants are nearby as well as a nice walking trail.
The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was so nice to be able to walk to the beach and some local restaurants. We really liked the walking trail located behind the hotel for our morning walks as well. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast had a good selection of food items in comparision to others where we have stayed. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The spacious area! I felt like I was in a small apartment rather than a hotel room.
Location: It was located close to the beach, within walking distance. Was not a very busy place at all. A few restaurants and a couple shops.
When I booked this hotel it was a last minute thing while traveling. I have never stayed in a Residence Inn and was so pleased with the room that I will look definitely considering it my first choice when looking for a hotel. Very large room with all the comforts and conveniences of home. Very nice.

peace and quietPosted Jan 16, 2015 on Hotels.com
This is my second time to stay at this particular Residence Inn. The staff is outstanding--very friendly, accommodating and efficient. The hotel is very clean (housekeeping does an excellent job) and very quiet. The facility is just beginning to show its age and as such, the carpeting in some of the rooms really needs to be replaced (stains, wear etc.) but other than that I had a great stay.
