Excellent accommodation.

Posted Dec 11, 2014
I chose the Inn because of its proximity to the Mayo Building where my husband was having surgery. We were unaware that each unit is like a small apartment with living, cooking and sleeping arrangements. We loved it! The only downside was my husband was released a day early and thus we had to pay for a night we did not use. That was very expensive!

Only for family with the patient in the Mayo Clini

Posted Oct 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
We hear a lot of noises duringbthe night, you can hear everything from the room beside you, I guess is good for the families of the Mayo clinic patients but not for vacation, we did not enjoy at all, our romantic weekend was not romantic at all

We are very sorry that your experience was not what you had hoped for. As a Marriott hotel, we hae a diverse group of guests, but being attached to the Mayo Clinic makes our hotel unique. We usually hear that our hotel is very peaceful but I am sorry that that was not what you had encountered.

Great if you have a patient at Mayo

Posted Sep 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
How amazing to have an apartment while your family members or friends are having diagnostic tests or treatments! And this hotel provides transfers to the front doors of Mayo Clinic. In fact, it is on the campus at Mayo and provides walking trails. The price is amazing for what you get.

outrageously expensive.

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: the cost and the description which is misleading.
The room is not a "suite", it's a "room". The description implies that it is a one bedroom suite. It is not. It's simplhy a large room with no privacy at all.

We are sorry that you were unhappy with your stay. We offer 6 different types of suites in our ho,tel to meet the varied needs of our guests. Some suites have a door seperating the bedroom and living room and others that are similar to a studio apartment where everything is open. We hope that you give us the opportunity to serve you again and we will work to ensure that you get the type of room that you want. If you see the worrds "studio" please understand that that is the type of suite that is open and without doors.

Great Access to the Hospital, but

Posted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was OK. It had excellent access to The Mayo Clinic Hospital where a family member was having surgery. This meant we could spend as much time as possible with family without having to drive to locate a suitable room. I was extremely disappointed however, with how clean the bathroom was. It appeared that the shower had not been sufficiently cleaned--there was what appeared to be dirt in the grooves of the bath tub. When I called down to have it addressed, they did not have any housekeeping staff on-site at the time to address it so we'd have to wait for housekeeping to show up in order to shower. Not cool...that the tub was dirty and that we had to wait for housekeeping to show up. Am I likely to use this hotel again, probably not.

great stay

The inn at mayo clinic was a great place to stay. I was very impressed with it and it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very modern and accommodating and it's just tucked away from the beach to be close, but still q washer and personal.

Be Careful; Double-Charged Us

Posted Aug 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
We got the 1-bedroom suite which was nice but looked much bigger online. Yes it had a little kitchen & sitting area, but it was fairly small & cramped. Another problem was the layout of the hotel. I couldn't believe how far we had to walk to get from the lobby to our room. Very inconvenient for getting stuff out of the car. Lastly, despite repeatedly assuring me the charge would "drop off" our credit card, they did indeed charge us one full nite's stay despite the fact we already paid thru Hotels.com! Luckily I caught it a few days later, & called & got the charge removed. Didn't even receive a proper apology. Won't be returning.

We are very sorry for your experience and hope that you give us the opportunity to make it up to you. We actually have 6 different room types to meet the needs of our different guests. There is a studio suite option as well, where everything is more open, which you may enjoy.

Nice hotel and right next to the Mayo Clinic

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The dining area was closed quickly after breakfast. It should be open all day for tea, nibbles, etc. for guests!!!
I really needed a comfortable hotel with all the amenities and with the proximity to the Mayo Clinic. You can't get closer than that!

Mayo Clinic convenience

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Convenience to Mayo Clinic
It might seem a little pricey but the convenience of being able to walk to the Mayo Clinic thru air conditioned hallways is well worth it. Breakfast is included and not bad. Hotel is very clean, the staff is attentive and professional. I would not want to stay any place else when going to Mayo. Best rooms in my view 102, 202, 302...

Very happy to have a comfortable hotel located on the Mayo campus providing a breezeway to the hospital and clinic. The grounds were lovely.

We are very happy that you found the hotel comfortable and enjoyed the grounds. There are some beautiful walking trails on our campus, where you can enjoy nature, beautiful fountains and art. Not everyone gets a chance to take the time to see them, but it is very peaceful.
