“lovely place to stay”

I was so happy with this place,stayed for three nights and four days.The only complaint was that one night we had in room dining and one entrea was not cooked properly.Every room had a great view.Friendly staff and very helpful, they booked a spa day for us and horse back riding on the beach.Great memories!

Area recommendations

Ponte vedra is only a 5 minute drive to Jacksonville beaches and a 25 minute drive to St. Augustine.I would recomend staying at ponte vedra, you are centrally located to everything and it's quite,beautiful and not over run with tourists.

“Great getaway!”

The Lodge and Club was very nice and I would recommend it. We had a wonderful room overlooking the ocean and the pool. The ammenities were nice and service was good.

“Perfect with some minor staff issues”

I've stayed here once before and I loved the location and service. I would stay again despite minor issues during check in and one odd thing: a man who walked us to our room also came in and showed us how to use the tv, phone, open the patio door, etc. He was in our room for a good 5 minutes before I asked him to leave, it was very patronizing and awkward. BTW, these were state of the art tv's or phones. Some of the staff were great and others had a better-than-you attitude. Anyways, the location is perfect, the beach is lovely and quiet, our room was great and the bathrooms to die for. A lovely little hotel!

“Plan to go back”

For a "high end" resort, the Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra is a great value. My wife and I were so impressed with the comfort and personal attention that we went back a second time.

Area recommendations

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It's located in a residential area and is very quiet.

The resort is located only a few footsteps from the beach. All rooms face the beach.

“Enjoyed the view!”

Loved the Deluxe Ocean View room and the view was awesome. It was like you had your feet in the ocean from our balcony. Very peaceful and beautiful hotel. Liked that you do not have to worry with tipping here and the service was excellent throughout. We parked across the street to save the valet parking fee. They give you a pass for this and it is a guarded lot. Food was pricey but very good. Very nice outdoor lounge area to enjoy drinks and the ocean. Wish they provided free beach seating. This was an expensive daily extra to rent a chair. Will stay here again but check my bill better next time!

“Once again!”

The Lodge is a great place to stay. We have always found the staff finds ways to exceed our expectations. The weather was very cold and the fireplace in the room was a great treat.

“Friendly place”

Pente Vedra is a refreshing alternative to Amelia Island (too slow) or Miami (Too busy). If You want to wind down in Florida, have good to great meals in the neighborhood (providing You have Your own transport), this is a great place to stay. the staff are good to great, very relaxed and extremely helpfull. the concierges are knowledgeable, especially Diane! Thanks again. Eat outside, the breakfast is not all that great value for money.And do not expect to see a lot of other people around. But if You are there to relax, You will find no better place in P.Vedra.

Saint Augustine is worth the 25min drive. It is as genuine a place as You will fins in the US.

“Highly recommend- will go back soon”

The hotel was great our room was wonderful. It was nice to wake up every morning to see the beautiful white sand beach. Staff provided +service from the time we arrived until we left. Bell shows you to your room, they are ready to help with any reservations you may need and turn down service every night with chocolate and a seashell. The entire hotel is very clean and staff very professional. We can't wait to go back.

Traveler's tip

Take the kids to swim with the Dolphins at marineland. You will need to make reservations a few days in advance if you make your trip during peak time. A short drive from hotel to St. Augustine great restaurant and plan of stuff to do there.
