“Everyone should stay once!”

We could not have asked for a better place to stay! It was so clean and the courtyard is tranquil. The beach is just down the street, along with many options for dining! We found it to be the most relaxing stay ever..

“Unexpected Hidden Delight!”

I love this place! I got the "Marilyn" room, & it just so happens I love MM. I even read the big bio book on her. The inner courtyard is homey & charming & has the serene sounds of water fountains. It was smokin' hot when I stayed, so I didn't get much use out of it, but in a little cooler weather, it'd be a great place to hang out. There's a sturdy built-in grill, & lots of greenery. It's very private, with two iron decorative gates on either end, & so much vegetation you can't really see in from the street. Very quiet spot too, but only a couple blocks from the beach. The only thing that could make it better would be a few hammocks. I will be staying again & soon. The retro dining area was pretty cool too. Rooms have a micro-fridge, & my bathroom was the biggest in the place. Well worth it!! Free classic movies to borrow too at the front desk.

“Palms Retro - Way Cool, Clean, Comfortable”

I fell head over heels in love with this motel and can't wait to stay there again! This is an intimate motel with 10 themed rooms, decorated in retro-cool style. I stayed in The Rat Pack (Frank, Dean, Sammy, etc.). Attention to detail in the decor was obvious and the atmosphere is FUN! The room is spotlessly clean and smells clean - NO lingering smoke odors here. The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is very well-equipped - refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffeepot, DVD player, iPod player, CD player, etc. You can even borrow movies to watch from the office. I enjoyed listening to the themed Rat Pack CD's that came with my room. The staff is wonderful - very caring and concerned with guest comfort and security. The property has a lovely courtyard witha gate that locks at 11:00 p.m. (guests have a key). The motel is located within short walking distance of "The Corner" in Atlantic and Neptune Beach, featuring several good restaurants and bars, as well as funky and upscale shops. The beach is pristine and about 2 blocks away. Breakfast is included and features pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, etc. Parking is free, wifi is free, This is an easy and convenient place to stay, with the added fun factor thrown in. The location can't be beat if you want to be near the beach.

“Excellent Flashback of American Pop Culture, Privatley Owned, Awsome Location!”

Family owned and operated, The Palms Retro is like staying in a time warp in the 60's, 70's, 80's. The rooms are themed after different eras of American Pop Culture. Owner upgraded us to the King Suit for no additional charge, very friendly and informative about the location. Rooms very clean and building in overall excellent condition, safe area, close to beach and City Market in walking distance. Looking forward to staying with them again.

“Loved every minute of our stay”

The Palms Retro was everything I hoped it would be. We arrived a day earlier than planned and the staff was very accommodating. The office was closed, but in less than 10 min. someone arrived to check us in early. The grounds and building are well maintained and adorable. Our room was GORGEOUS. The room was decorated perfectly for the theme and very clean. Even though the room was a little on the small side, the bathroom was large and had a wonderful vanity area with plenty of lighting and space. The hotel is a quick walk to the beach and walking distance to a fun bar, restaurant, shopping area where we enjoyed two great evenings. All in all a great destination. I would definitely go back to The Palms!

“Wonderful 1950's Charm”

We had a great time at this cute 1950's style courtyard hotel in Atlantic Beach. The room was clean and cozy with an awesome flat screen TV and DVD player. The Palms is located in an AWESOME neighborhood... Just a few minutes walk from the beach, great shops, and restaurants (Check out Al's Pizza!) We really enjoyed the many options available at the free breakfast . Great service from the friendly and helpful staff! Thanks guys!!!

“Can't wait to go back”

I think this hotel is a great place to stay. The people were nice, the room was clean and it was a short walk to the beach. I couldn't ask fir anything more. I will be sure to stay here next time I'm in town.
