Best B & B ever!Posted Aug 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
What a beautiful place--an historic 19th century home, perfectly maintained and restored. We parked in front of this property once and I vowed to return to stay. Jamie and Shawn, the owners, made me feel completely at home, and the other guests were fascinating. My room was small but comfortable, with a luxuriously cozy bed. My only complaint was the loud air conditioner, which is apparently scheduled to be replaced next season. The heated pool was lovely. With a short, easy walk to the Britt festival and equally easy access to downtown Jacksonville, this was the perfect place to stay.

Great B&BPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had a wonderful time. Beautiful B&B with every amenity you could think of. Hostess/owner was very helpful with outstanding info on restaurants. We were offered a chance to switch to a first floor room to avoid stairs while carrying luggage. We accepted at no extra charge. Breakfast was excellent. Overall, could not ask for more.

Highly recommended!Posted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay at the Touvelle House. The house is cozy, the rooms are super comfortable and the owners are friendly and accommodating. I go to Jacksonville every couple of years to visit family and always stay at the inn. The breakfasts are delicious and the afternoon tea and cookies add a little something special to the stay. It is less than a five minute walk to town and everything that you need. The grounds are gorgeous and if the weather is nice, you can sit outside in several different places around the house. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Jacksonville.

Touvelle House is lovely! Jamie and Shawn have done a beautiful job making the house warm and welcoming to their guests. Breakfast was fantastic. We will stay here any time we are back in the Ashland/Jacksonville area.

Beautiful Bed, Broken BreakfastPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: The Jacksonville was perfect. The house was beautiful, surrounded by very old oaks. The room was lovely...very Ralph Lauren.
Cons: A better bathroom with tub and updated tile would help. Mainly, a new breakfast chef is needed.
Location: Jacksonville and Ashland. What more can I say. Also, try beautiful Applegate Valley for a day trip.
The overall experience was okay.. The host, Tim was friendly and accommodating. The room was very attractive and tasteful The bathroom was minimum at best, with no tub. The bedroom room CHILLY ALL the time.. The breakfast part of " Bed and Breakfast," failed for my husband and myself. Somebody should learn how to prepare eggs. It was supposed to be an "egg scramble." It was more like eggs scrambled for 2 weeks.

Fantastic B & BPosted May 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is my 3rd stay at Touvelle House and with each trip I love it more and more. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is amazing with several options for people with dietary restrictions. Tea and cookies in the afternoon. Rooms have everything you need and there are cold water bottles on every floor. These little touches add the the enjoyment of your stay. The front yard is amazing with lots of shade if you want to sit and relax outside. A side zen garden and a pool area are also available to relax in. The owners are amazing, friendly, professional, helpful and are around enough for any of your needs but are never over bearing. This is my favorite place to stay in Jacksonville.

Very relaxing stay. Jacksonville has a lot of history and a music festival that we did not know existed until we visited the area. We will be back in the future.

Best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed at!Posted Aug 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is the best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed at. The owners were so welcoming and hospitable, and had such great attention to detail. They took notice of the little things - the first morning my husband asked for ice for his coffee, so come the second morning, they had a cup of ice already set out for him by the coffee. There are fridges on each floor always stocked with bottled water, which was great because it's hot there in the summer! So close to walk to the Britt Festival, and they also have Britt-approved chairs at the B&B you can use for free. The saltwater pool was a highlight - perfect temperature, so clean and refreshing. Didn't try the sauna but that's a great amenity as well. Lastly, the food was to die for. Each morning was a 3-course breakfast, and absolutely delicious. We'll return to Jacksonville simply to stay here again!
