Super friendly staff

Posted Jan 30, 2015
I purchased this hotel for my parents. They couldn't rave enough about how friendly the staff was from inside to out. They had car trouble while there and everyone bent over backwards to offer help. Hotel clean and comfy. They said they would stay again!

Hotel that seemed on the verge of closing

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Location: However if you want pizza, V's is close and the best breakfast is about 20 min away at Moxies.
While in Jacksonville I had to find a Hotel quickly. The rate at this hotel was cheap and I have stayed at Wyndams before so I chose this one. Although lobby was nice but dated the halls and the rooms seemed to be in a state of constructions although no construction was noticed, i.e signs, workers, or equipment. The room was clean but light on furniture. They seemed to have thrown in a bed, desk, and table. As far as hotels go this one is okay to stay but only in for a bargain.

Conditions

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Absolutly nothing
Cons: Upgrade everything!
Location: Went to the arena for a concert.
Our room was very musty and moldy smelling. The mattress was horrible, you fell into a whole and that was where you had to stay. Not very clean, facility was very hard to get around in. No signs to direct you around the hotel. Not a very user friendly hotel at all.

Hotel in good location, but in poor condition.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: People.
Cons: Needs to be stripped bare, upgrade the plumbing and internet, redecorate, and figure out how to avoid serving soggy bacon at breakfast time.
This hotel is dark inside the lobby and many other public areas. This is probably due to its needing a major update and they don't want the guests to fully appreciate that fact. The wallpaper in my room was bubbled and peeling off. The lav faucet leaked during my four night stay despite repeated reports to the front desk. There was a puddle on the top of the vanity the whole time. The free internet was so slow I thought we were on dial-up again. On the positive side, the employees were very friendly and helpful. The bed and room were maintained well despite the poor maintenance and condition. The bed was comfortable, clean and carefully made. There were plenty of clean towels and free bottled water. The front desk folks and the bartender were great!

Pros: Cheap and close to the landing
Cons: Bathroom update(no space/rusted vent). New paint. Window seal rusted. Head board of bed was not attached just leaned up against the wall.
Location: Jacksonville landing was within 5 minutes.
Bad smell in bathroom they had to come clean it. Then the tub would not drain they had to come fix it. Not once did they offer to switch me to a different room. Had to pay for parking and the gate was broke to the parking lot the next day. Door to room locked but did not shut all the way.

convenient hotel

Posted Jan 20, 2015
the hotel was convenient for us due to it being very close to the Wolfson Center. we were there visiting our granddaughter who was new born and in the NICU unit of the hospital. the rooms are old and we had an incident with a small roach walking over the desk in our room. bathrooms were not nice. the restaurant at the hotel was really good and not expensive. overall it was good for what we were there for
