CopacabanaPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice employees very helpful, Alonzo, Tania, or Tatyana, with the red hair, and the maid all nice, helpful. AC and TV good, shower good, property and rooms a little dated. Location great.

no waterPosted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This quite possibly could have been the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life. The AC was so loud, it was hard to sleep and there was no running water at all from 10PM to 4AM. The room smelled so bad because we could not flush the toilet. I went down to the desk to ask what happened, and the response was that this happens every night when they fill the tank.....hello.... I could have stayed in a Hostel around the corner and it may have been better.

It is on the beachPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good and it is right on the beach. We had a difficult time finding the place as it isn't marked well. The beach is mostly stones and difficult to walk on and the coarseness of the sand is hard on the feet. Jaco in general is a place you can skip unless you are a surfer or enjoy being assailed at every step by some hawker or vendor.

La Pura Vida!Posted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Every moment of my five-night stay at the Copacabana was filled with positive experiences with the hotel staff, my room, the pools and bars and the food. Before I arrived at the Copacabana, I knew that the hotel was on the beach, but I had no idea how priceless it would be to be that close to the beach. How do you possibly place a price on direct access to the natural beauty of Playa Jaco, Costa Rica? After a long night on the town, I'd highly recommend the freshly made mango and Pineapple smoothie in the morning from the restaurant to start the new day. The hotel manager, Katia, was extremely helpful with any question or request that I had and she spoke both English and Spanish very well. Most of the staff was bi-lingual as well and they were patient with my limited Spanish skill set. I plan on returning to Jaco to stay at the Copacabana every six months!

most friendly and helpfull hotel staff ever!Posted May 13, 2013
Pros: Location, hotel staff, food, atmosphere
Cons: upgrade rooms
Location: Surfing, Walk on beach, bar at hotel karoke
I have been going to Jaco Costa Rica for 18 years and the Copacabana hotel staff is the best I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The great service started from my transfer to/from the airport, food service, front desk staff to the hotel manager(who made sure she introduced herself to the guest)they make you feel like your on vacation..".Now for the cherry on top" the front desk person even let me ride her bike one day after I complained about the very large deposits for bike rentals in Jaco..."who is that nice" The grounds were very cozy, not the feel of a large chain hotel....The adults only is not for everyone.. "I love it"...I wish I had found this hotel years ago..

OK, but not worth the pricePosted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: Clean and big room
Cons: Expensive for what the hotel has to offer
Location: Not bad, but lazy people will require Taxi to move anywhere
I consider this was a really expensive hotel, even more buying it through Expedia. During my stay (easter break) this hotel was close to be empty. If you are looking for an "adult" theme, well it might suit you when couple, but that is not farther than a small enclosed pool where people "can" be naked. Other than that, the whole Hotel was pretty boring, no shows, no events or good music. Avoid food or an "all inclusive" package, it is not bad but just not worth the price: better going out to eat/drink in different restaurants and bars. People were nice and helpful. Room clean and tidy. If you are looking for a place to have a pool where nudist is available, go for it, other than that you can find a better place at a lower price. PD: A resort is "big"; this one, is just a normal hotel.

The hotel was old, poorly maintained and too expensive
