Great condoPosted Mar 11, 2013
Pros: Access to the beach, the amount of space, and the cleanliness.
Cons: The distance to the downtown area and the poor wifi connection.
Location: The location was good or bad based on what you're looking for. If you want a nice beach area that's not busy then it's perfect.
It's not really a hotel, but a condo. We walked in and were surprised by how large the space was. The rooms are spacious and laid out very nicely. It was also very clean and you can tell the place has been well kept. We got a corner suite which meant our windows looked into the building across from us, but we didn't mind since it also meant we got an outdoor patio with a full dining set. The location itself is good or bad based on what you're looking for. It's a bit far from the main downtown area of Jaco ($3 taxi ride) which meant you had to take a vehicle to get there. But at the same time, we appreciated that it meant the area of the beach it had access to was very secluded. There weren't that many people the entire time and it was literally steps away from the condo. Parking was free and fully guarded which was great. The security guards were also very pleasant and did anything to make the stay more enjoyable. We didn't appreciate the hours of service for the front desk though. Most days were only until 8pm, which made it a bit difficult to get any help after that. Especially since the wifi cut out on one of the nights so we had no access to internet until they opened back up in the morning. And even then they said it was out of their control because it was based on the provider. Overall though it was a nice experience and I would recommend it for a larger group, maybe not 2 people which we were.

Oceans La Paloma BlancaPosted Jul 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
The condo-motel was in a great location a quick 5 minutes car ride from downtown. Our suite was beautifully decorated and spacious. The master bedroom had a dining area balcony view if the ocean and was very comfortable. My only knock was that there was absolutely nobody that spoke English and the office was never open when I attempted to get information (five to six attempts over two days). I had to call an off site number to get service.

Nice hotel but no servicePosted Jun 20, 2011 on Hotels.com
Stayed at Oceans La Paloma for one night during vacation. The hotel was nice, but it seemed like there was a lot of maintenance problems. We had a two bedroom suite for my family and the air conditioning didn't work in one of the bedrooms. After calling the front desk, maintenance staff were in and out of the room for about an hour, but still not fixed. Tried calling the front desk at 5 pm, but no one was there for the rest of the night. Multiple calls. You;re on your own when you're at this hotel.

Beautiful grounds and roomsPosted May 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
I stayed here with my friend this past week, the place was surprisingly dead with barely any guests. I'm not sure why? I had a great time there, the hotel was amazing and so close to the beach. If your driving a rental car you may have a little trouble finding it without a gps. Check out the beatle bar while your in town, and ask the hotel manager where to get good costa rican food, he sent us to a place that cost like $5 dollars each to eat and it was fantastic!
