Beautiful hotel, rooms and pool!Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Rooms, friendly staff, pool.
Cons: Clean up the beach area so people can sit on lounge chairs there if they prefer it to the pool. Offer discounted golfing rates in the off season.
Location: Location is a bit isolated so you have to drive or arrange transportation to get anywhere. We drove to Manual Antonio one day and enjoyed the park.
Hotel was fairly easy to find as we were driving ourselves in a rental car. Check in went smoothly and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious, beds were very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and rooms were as cool as you wanted. Enjoyed the pool area and restaurant food was good. There were activities and areas for younger children but not much for teenagers, other than the pool area with a net for water volleyball.Only thing lacking was a nice beach to swim in and more reasonably priced golfing. There was a beautiful golf course there but no one was golfing it!

Fantastic cove views, excellent poolPosted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Facilities, pool, staff, rooms
Cons: More veggie options in the menu, better tour options from tour operator, who is not affiliated with hotel.
Location: Zip lining, good restaurants.
Really great experience with the hotel, facilities and staff.

Stayed during the rainy season - room was nice and the air conditioner worked well. Wasn't real fond of the travel service associated with the resort - Swiss Travel, I believe. Booked drivers to and from San Jose - overpriced, in my view. Other than that, I hope to return soon to the Marriott Los Suenos.

Beautiful luxury resortPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: The room, service, pool, drinks and food.
Cons: nothing...just perfect!
Location: Great place to stay if you are visiting Jaco.
This was the last short trip of our 2 week holiday in Costa Rica...and ended up being the most amazing experience for us. Sadly, we only stayed for a few days in the area...should have stayed for a week at least. The location of the resort was fantastic...quiet and away from the busy Jaco area....but close enough to drive...only 5km.

nice hotel, dull vibePosted May 28, 2014
The hotel is beautiful and well kept, food was delicious, staff was wonderful ; however, not the environment we expected when we chose a hotel by the beach in tropical Costa Rica. If you want to feel like you are at the beach in your retirement community in the USA then this is exactly the place for you. If you want to escape and feel like you are at the beach in beautiful tropical Costa Rica and embrace their culture this is the wrong place and there are better options. the hotel plays elevator music throughout and in the pool area you will hear mundane Spanish tracks which will easily put you to sleep. In the pool bar they have an i-pod nano playing Cindy Lauper, Madonna, and Billy Idol (tracks from the 80's) the aforementioned does not say tropical vacation in a Latin American country. Best way to sum it up is.....the hotel is lacking a pulse. I was not asking for a loud and crass environment , just a lively TROPICAL change of scenery. If I do return it will be when I'm 80 or older.

Beautiful hotel on the beachPosted May 14, 2014
The pool area at this hotel is absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is also beautiful. The beach is decent, but it is a black sand beach. The whole complex is a wonderful place to stay.

Comfy, safe with fantastic views and great servicePosted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
I took a Gray Line shuttle from San Jose (highly recommend) by myself for a little getaway trip. Was extremely excited to see the amazing view of the pool and the Pacific. Hotel is not all inclusive but service was really incredible! So friendly, smiles everywhere. Room was large and clean and stayed cool. Incredible views. I was, however, disappointed in the food. There were inexpensive decent options for food at the Arreciefe by the pool bar or the cafe upstairs (though I didn't like the hard crust and bland sauce for the pizzas). Both I found better than the fancy dinners at La Vista though the breakfast was good at La Vista in the morning. The dinners were just unflavorful and bland (soup tasted from a can, fish was just dripping in grease and butter). I asked for limes and sauces to make it taste better but still wasn't impressed for the cost. I would recommend going in to Jaco to eat or buying something at a market and bringing with you. Also, the ride from a hotel (without a car) was $17 each way in a taxi to Jaco. I walked out to the end of the road and caught a local bus (runs at the top of every hour) into town for $.50 cents. Was really fun because I got to really see the local culture and people. I speak Spanish so chatted with a woman about the area. I felt safe and comfortable. No A/C though you can open the windows. Was really fun to see Jaco and the beaches and buy empanadas and snacks from local vendors before heading back to my amazing hotel!

Nice Hotel - but beach lacksPosted May 10, 2014
Pros: The grounds and facility are nice, clean and attractive. Food was good although the pricing was rather high. The pool was a nice place to hang out.
Cons: The room was nice although the decor and bath facilities were dated for my tastes.
Our hotel experience with Los Suenos was enjoyable. People were mostly friendly and after a day of adventures was a nice place to relax. The grounds and facility are nice, clean and attractive. Food was good although the pricing was rather high. The pool was a nice place to hang out. The room was nice although the decor and bath facilities were dated for my tastes.

Great Hotel/Amazing PoolPosted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great hotel. The pool is amazing and you are right on the beach. If you are looking for a place to chill out in Herradura this is it. The food is great and they have a swim up bar! That's right, a swim up bar! Enjoy!
