Everything at the hotel is a ripoff. All of the sightseeing tours prices are double to prices you can off sight. I we'll never stay there again

Pros: Beautiful grounds and good locationl
Cons: Descriptions of rooms by Expedia.
We stayed here for 2 nights before taking a cruise. The resort was just what we needed after a long flight from Toronto and 2-hour drive from San Jose. The grounds are spectacular, with a golf course, several pools with canals linking them, a spa, gift shop, fitness centre and several good restaurants and bars. The only draw back is the beach, which is made of dirt rather than sand. However, it was still good for walking, and with all the pool area, it was not a big issue for us. The other issue is with Expedia, which has inaccurate descriptions of the rooms on its website. No matter what the category or price quoted by Expedia, the descriptions of every room say the same thing: "Measuring 388 square feet (36 square meters), this room opens to a balcony with mountain views.". We purchased a "premium ocean view", which you would think would have an ocean view. It did, but was only a partial view. You would be better off using the room descriptions on the Marriott Los Suenos website as they are much more accurate and you will know what you are paying for.

Pros: The facilities and room.
Location: Los Suenos stands for "Dreams", which basically describes the only thing you can do after sun sets: sleep and dream!
Stayed there for a short stay and enough for me to never go back. All personnel, from restaurants, to front desk to bar, to entertaining in DESPERATE NEED for training. Looks like they were called right from street, given a uniform and ready to go. Please begin training by telling personnel that the reason why everyone is there and have a job is because of the guests. That their mission is to please the guest and build a great experience thru quality service. Poor folks, don't have a clue of this. Also, had to stand 30' in line for breakfast... and almost asked by a bell boy to get out of the elevator because to move some stuff in. Probably, what is needed is not training but a new manager... Definitely not worth the money.

Location: Great location next to the Marina
We stayed 2 nights at Los Suenos Marriot. They let us check in early which was very helpful. We upgraded to a balcony with Ocean view. The room was clean, quiet. My son and I charter a fishing boat out of the Marina which was very convenient.

Pros: Facilities were excellent.
Cons: We were in a standard room for 4 people, and the 2 beds were actually for 1 person each one. We couldn't sleep comfortably.
Location: The hotel is on the beach.
This is a very beautiful hotel, but very far from Herradura downtown. You have to go by car to the supermarkets and restaurants. You cannot access these places by walking.

We always enjoy staying here and can't wait to get back. Everyone from the gate, to the valet, to the front desk to the cleaning staff to the restaurants treats us great. You can tell they are happy and love what they do which makes us feel at home away from home!!
