Great place to stay for the whole family.Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Cons: Bike Rentals to get around the grounds.
Location: Quick taxi ride to Jaco where there are fun restaurants and shopping. Touristy. We ate at Jaco Taco which had AWESOME food and service. Huge portions!
My family and I stayed at Los Suenos condos in October, 2013 for my mother's 50th birthday. The condo was spacious, very clean and well kept, and was well accommodating for the five of us. The staff is extremely friendly and strive to make your stay the most enjoyable. Jaime and Ricardo, the concierge, are definitely OUTSTANDING and helped us with anything we needed. The beaches have dark sand and water but the pools are FABULOUS! Rent a golf cart to get around as this place is huge. Went on a zip lining tour that the concierge set up for us and a fishing excursion on a boat named Epic from the marina, which we highly recommend doing. The fish we caught was prepared in our condo by a professional chef- Jose Pinar Chavarria, who cooked an amazing dinner with great presentation and friendliness. The concierge recommended him to us and we are very glad we decided to do this. We will definitely be coming back here! - A Pura Vida!

Beautiful & flawless resort on the beachPosted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: Great value, beautiful location, very clean, safe gated communities. Loved the variety of restaurants.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect about the resort.
Location: Beach access, all activities, such as zip lining and horseback riding within minutes of the resort. They will even pick you up!
My husband, mother, and 2 children had an amazing vacation at this resort. The property was amazing, beautiful, and flawless! From our first encounter with Jose at the front desk, to our last day at the spa we were in amazement of the beauty that surrounded us. I would stay there again and have recommended it to all our family and friends. The restaurants are elegant and authentic and the serene environment is like no other in the world!

Great ValuePosted Jul 10, 2013
Location: Close to Jaco, Los Suenos Marriott and Marina area. 1 1/2 hours to Manual Antonio park. Only 1 1/2 hours from San Jose Airport - very accessible.
This unit was great value - very comfortable for 4 or 6 with full living areas/kitchen and access to private community pool and private beach club. This is a very high-end resort area but this was a very affordable way to get access to the area. Very secure for folks that worry about that stuff.

Beautiful Condo in Secure CompoundPosted Jul 1, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and grounds were breath taking
Cons: Some restaurants were closed given not high season. This was not presented and cut down on dining options a bit
Location: Jaco each was fun and close by. Lots of local restaurants, shopping and good surfing
The Los Suenos compound was very beautiful and secure. There was little to want for inside the gates with options for dining, groceries, spa and activities. A few of the restaurants were closed as this was their 'slow' time of year but still many options if you did not want to explore out. There were many pools and good work out facilities. We chose a condo over the hotel so our family could spread out. We could not see the ocean/beach from our room which was a little disappointing but the gardens were very appealing and a nice sight.

Great Codo to relaxPosted Mar 11, 2013
Pros: Condo and not hotel. be able to do laundry. Very hard working staff to keep the outdoor lawns beautiful.
Cons: Big resort: either rent a car or golf cart. The restaurant are a little overpriced for the food you get and they are very Americanized.
It was a great with staying at Del Mar condos. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly.

Los Suenos resort condosPosted Feb 12, 2013
Pros: Condo unit rather than a hotel
Cons: Bicycles were not avail for rent
Location: 5 min from Jaco
We stayed at the Veranda condos in Los Suenos Resort (this is not the Marriott hotel but in the same complex). Lovely grounds, 4 pools for this section of condos plus huge resort pool, hot tub, volleyball, on the beach, ping pong & fuse ball. We were there in Feb and had the pool to ourselves. The resort is large so drive your car or walk alot. Can rent a golf cart ($50 per day!)but would have been nice to be able to rent bicycles (not available). Restaurants at resort are nice, but definitely need to eat at the Taco Bar or Los Amigos in Jaco which is 5 min drive. Beaches are ugly - brown sand, no waves. The brown sand will ruin your bathing suit. Deep sea fishing is avail at the resort marina, but expensive. ($700 - $900 for half day) Would recommend if you are staying in the Jaco area. A/C worked great in the condo - which is a rarity in Costa Rica.

Good hotelPosted Feb 7, 2013
Cons: Food at the beach club.
Everything was fine and pleasant, but do not eat at the beach club! Food is terrible and expensive to top it off, not to mention that they take for ever to bring your order
