Recommended: I have stayed at several hotels in Kowloon/Hong Kong. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the Cityview. The location worked very well for me. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The room size was typical of what is found in the area. The bathroom is extremely small, had my wife been with me on this trip she would not of been pleased. Recommended: The BP has always been more than satisfactory. The room with the city and harbour view is spectacular at night; and while a little small, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced for it's location. The hotel overlooks Kowloon Park, and there are many places to eat near the hotel in addition to the restaurants in the hotel itself. Helpful to know: - You can take the bus to or from the Int'l airport, getting on/off near Jordan Station. - Taxi's are readily available just outside hotel door. - Kowloon's waterfront is within walking distance (20 minutes); can also easily walk to Star Ferry Pier. - The surrounding area feels safe, even at night. - Walking distance to Temple Street Night Market - Walking distance to MTR I recommend the BP International without reservation. Recommended: I was impressed with the service, the cleanliness and the decor of this hotel. I stayed 2 nights and from the beginning to the end, my stay was great. I was treated like royalty, felt that the staff was there to meet me every need and was impressed with their warmth and friendliness. The service was the best I have ever had in any hotel. I have stayed in hotels in Canada, the US, mainland China and Europe and this is by far the best one. From the reception area to my room everything was clean, well decorated and taken care of. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself. The location is good for shopping and it enables one to be immersed in daily Hong Kong life. The subway is near and there is a great shopping mall connected to the hotel, that beats any mall I have been to in the U.S. or Canada. Stay can be pricey, but it's worth every cent. Not recommended: My first night there was spent in the wrong roomm a two twin bed room when we had requested a King. They then upgraded our original room request to a king room on the 18th floor. However, it was a huge production to get non-feather bedding. The bed itself felt like concrete. The view was great and so was the food. The manager is great but the staff is only so-so. Recommended: This hotel was high quality with lovely views over the bay. It was extremely easy to access this from the airport and trains, but also in a great part of town. We ended up staying here on the way back through HK at the end of our trip because we were so happy with it. Recommended: Hotel is located in the middle of Kowloon city and just a few blocks away from busy city streets. Every half hour shuttle bus leaving Metropark Hotel to Kowloon harbor with only stop in Mong Kok district is very convenient.
