“Average Hotel”

Check in passport was confiscated and held. I didn’t even know my passport was held until after the bell boy returned into my room an hour later! The first room I checked into was semi clean. The bathroom floor was still dirty from the previous occupant. After about an hour in the room never cooled off. The new room a/c on the side by the pool was a lot cooler and cleaner. The bathroom towels were worn- stained. The room electric except for the a/c was operated by your key card. The downstairs restaurants were under construction so the only place to eat was the Coffee shop. In the morning breakfast buffet was served. Half the line was Indian and the rest was semi American and western food with corn flakes, brand flakes, orange juice, pineapple juice. Eggs made to order, pancakes and chicken sausage and a few other tasteless items. Lunch was 600 Rps with all taxes included. Same thing Indian food and a mix of western food witch included some pasta and basic items. Didn’t really find the buffet really worth the money because there is absolute no other places to eat outside the gate unless you want some pretty good home cooked Indian food outside for about 20 RPS. Wi-fi At check In was told wi-fi was an additional 600 rps a day! I asked if there was a discount for 1 week since I was staying that long. The reply was no. After a day without internet I decided to check online and see what the deal was. Sure enough one week for 2,000 rps.

Area recommendations

Plenty of small taxis, rickashaws who would take you to the nearest local shop where you could buy water and drinks for your room. You could walk, but it was cool riding on a rickashaw for 40 rps roundtrip to and from. The hotel does have a small bar area where you can choose from Indian whiskeys for 250 rps a shoot plus a can of Pepsi for 75 rps to mix it with. The night before checkout I called the front desk twice for a detailed summary to be delivered to my room for review. Never received it until the next morning at the checkout desk! Took forever to check out, because nothing was ready like I asked. Clerk had to replace paper in the printer…etc..e Would I stay again? ONLY if it’s a bargain price. Don’t forget Internet is NOT included and is an extra expense. Swimming Pool and fitness area.- The pool was more than adequate for a 3.5 star hotel. No one was really using it and it is relaxing with the sound of loud horns in the background. Bring a book and Ipod and its fine. The gym is a small building located next to the pool. I had to wait 20 mins to have someone come open it. The gym is very basic with one treadmill, one elliptical and one sit down bicycle. No weights and the size of the gym is capable to fit two people comfortable. The mini bar was filled with two daily waters free and other items such as beer and Pepsi.
