SImply PatheticPosted Jan 29, 2015
Location: Amber Fort Jaigarh Fort
We were not allotted the room which we book. Paid high price for a low class room. Manager at the reception was rude. Gap between Online Portal (Expedia) and Hotel Management.

Jaipur Darbal, dirty rooms - gallery is decievingPosted Nov 8, 2011 on Hotels.com
Spent 2 night here. I booked this hotel, because the gallery shown here on hotel.com looked appealing. Pictures are totally deceiving. Although the hotel did look very nice from the outside, but the actual rooms were very disgusting, the bathroom was filthy, and so was the room. The pipes underneath the sink were leaking. We had to place our bin underneath the sink, to stop the flooding. We mentioned this to the staff, and they did absolutely nothing. We told them, that our room was dirty. They did not respond. The toilet was smelly and dirty too. Shower tap was hanging off the wall. Service was very poor and slow. Staff was very unhelpful, when asked about booking tours. The hotel rates itself as 3 stars- That's a joke, more like 1 star. Totally terrible.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed inPosted Aug 23, 2011
The towels and sheets had black stains. We asked for replacements, and the replacements were also grimy. The hotel has no elevator and no one available at night to help carry bags up the stairs. The restaurant food is terrible (incidentally, India is one of those places where the food is always good. This hotel is the only place in our entire India trip where we had bad food). Even allowing for the fact that this is India and cleanliness standards are lower, this hotel is the pits. Even the homestays we stayed at in the Himalayas were cleaner and better than this hotel.
