We loved everything about this hotel - the furnishings, the rooms, the food, the friendly and helpful staff. It was the perfect place to stay in Jaipur and I only wish we could have stayed longer.

First of all Expedia charged me too much for the same hotel my friend and I booked together. Was not the room I saw or was supposed to get. It was for 252$. Expedia charged me $379. I need refund for additional charges. I will be filing a complaint for the amount charged

Terrible Service
A run down haveli. Do yourself a favor and stay at Rambagh. Immediately upon check-in to dingy dark room we requested to leave the hotel via hotel car and returned the key. The hotel refused to refund and told hotels.com that we stayed the entire duration of the reservation even though we returned the key and made it very clear we were leaving. The quality of service is a disgrace.

Perfect heritage luxury!
This peaceful heritage property located within the walls of the pink city was a delight to stay at. We spent two nights in a very spacious room off the main courtyard. The rooms were clean, had comfortable beds, large bathrooms including a gigantic roll top bath and a large shower cubical which was enjoyed regularly due to the humidity of September. One note for light sleepers would be to take an eye mask as the curtains were not black out so the room was light (in my opinion) during the night. There was an air conditioner in the main bedroom and ceiling fans in all rooms which helped keep the temperature at bay. All the staff were very courteous and polite. The pool is gorgeous and the gym facilities perfect for a short trip. The hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delicious and had a beautiful outdoor eating courtyard for those enjoying the heat! It felt like a perfectly maintained ‘exotic marigold hotel.’

Talk about a beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility in a sea of chaos! we loved the authenticy of this former Maharajah's palace. Many have been 'renovated' with materials which could never do justice to the level of original artisanship. The Samode Haveli is like something out of a movie set. With friendly, warm staff, an amazing pool and other facilities, and all the small touches that make for a special stay. Highly recommended (just don't take our room when we need one!)

I have stayed at Samode Haveli many times. It is an enchanting property. The staff is attentive and warm. Lovely dining and spa. The grounds are always evolving with updates that embellish the heritage of the hotel. The maintenance and service are top notch.

Look no further!
If you are looking for grandeur with quintessential Indian flair look no further! Samode Haveli is our favourite hotel away from home! It is a hidden oasis within pink city close to all sights and bazaars but far enough away to have complete privacy and total calm! As we travel for business we choose to book a standard room (as we're out working all day!) We usually stay in the same room no. 120 which on the ground floor very private and next to the beautiful lush green grounds. The room is charming, a little tired now and in need some fresh paint however it still remains so comfortable, quiet and peaceful after a long days work! We will always continue to stay at the Samode Haveli when in Jaipur!

Probably my favorite hotel in India during my 12 days of travel. It's beautifully kept, staff is professional, food is amazing, and the pool is a great oasis from the chaotic Jaipur outside. It's great place and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely gorgeous property in a central location, with attentive staff and great food. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded at no cost to quite possibly the nicest hotel "room" I have ever stayed in... which was actually a huge suite :)

Luxurious, in a mellow understated way, with the famous Rajasthani hospitality on full display. Beautiful property, from the architecture to the gardens. Common area rooms are exquisite. There are romantic and artistic photo spots at every turn on the property. Sumptuous, delicious breakfast every morning.

A repurposed palace that keeps the authenticity of India (not unduly polished or commercialized). It is an oasis of calm, flowers, and pleasant service near the old city. The breakfast and dinner had tasty Indian dishes, and was as good as other recommended places that we went to in the city. Sometimes the service was slow, and our car was late picking us up at the train station. But overall it is a beautiful hotel, full of character, attentive service, and wonderful amenities.

We had a great stay at Samode Haveli! The hotel decor and service were amazing. The history of the hotel also adds a unique charm. The location is good but the hotel isn’t quite walking distance to local sights. Also, some local drivers didn’t seem to know the location which was unexpected. All in all, a great stay and would definitely recommend to others!

Amazing Hotel
This place is absolutely stunning and if it’s in your budget I wouldn’t look at staying anywhere else. The decor is unlike any hotel I’ve visited before and the outside space it beautiful. We stayed in the newly renovated suits which were huge and finished to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend doing the early morning walking tour of Jaipur. You really get to see and experience the real working Jaipur. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was delicious. My only regret was that we only had one night stay here before moving onto Agra. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Two days after I made a non-refundable reservation through Expedia, I received a cryptic email that the hotel will be having a dinner celebration on Christmas Eve. Participation is mandatory. Cost is INR 6,000 (approximately USD 100) per person. I did not appreciate the mandatory nature of this celebratory dinner.
