The building is old. Unfortunately it seems like they do not maintain the building properly. The sink was (almost) clogged, no curtain in the shower space which make the entire bathroom wet and flooded. There are a lot of cocroach moving around the room. It was really disgusting.

Stay at Amaris
The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. It is within walking distance to Juanda Station which makes going to Bogor or other parts of Jakarta easy. There are also numerous eateries around and food street is also within walking distance. The room I was in look somewhat old and could do with a refurbishment though; eg. the blinds were dirty and there was algae on the toilet walls and the bedsheets were not pristine white.

Great budget hotel
This was close to Juanda bus station. Great location if you're checking out Monas. We enjoyed the stay despite noisy kids in the morning.

Very nice hotel in Jakarta center
I stayed 2 nights in Amaris hotel juanda the room was very clean and comfortable it has everything you need. The decoration is modern and the bathroom very practical. I would definitely stay again if i visit Jakarta:)

Terrible staff, locked me out of my room, excessive charges taking advantage of guests. Humiliated in front of 7 staff members at front desk.

Convenient and affordable
Hotel is located near Juanda station. Staff speaks English and are helpful. Only downside was very bad noise in the morning - children running and playing along the corridor. Overall, its still cheap and worth it.

My preference is to stay more at the center of the City. Amaris hotel is a nice city center hotel. Rooms are clean breakfast is more than satisfactory. The personel have a positive attitude.

My first time at an Amaris hotel. Clean, with comfortable beds and quality linen. Very simple style to rooms. It is a room you just go to sleep in, nothing fancy. Great hot water availabilty and high pressure in shower. Breakfast is typical for this part of the world. Close to Gambir train station if you are going to do a southern train, you can walk to the station in 15 minutes easy. Excellent western food restaurant a short walk from hotel = HAPPY DAY - just walk out of lobby make a right and walk about 10 minutes. Great menu and ressonable.

Really Close to Public Transport
its a great experience staying to a hotel that really close to public transport (busway and commuter). The hotel also quite near to public transport.(less than 5 minute by taxi/angkutan.motorcycle) you are fully connected to the whole Jakarta.

The location and price are good. You get a big Asian style breakfast and the staff are all excellent and nice (Just like all of Indonesia). Very secure. Very clean.

Stay a night before depart to Bandung via train @Stasiun Gambir. Very near to Pasar Baroe for shopping and also Istiqal Mosque. Very easy to get transportation because located on the main road.

Quiet hotel in the middle of Jakarta
The hotel was really close to several major attractions. There was a very busy road outside but the hotel was well soundproofed. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. However I was very disappointed that the corridor stank of cigarette smoke which managed to creep into the rooms!.

My husband and I stayed here for one night between arriving in Jakarta and taking the train to Yogyakarta. We chose it because on the map it appeared to be close to the train station. Everything looked better on the website, clean, bright and modern. The room was tiny, grimey and stuffy. The whole floor smelled like smoke. Breakfast was Indonesian fare, which is fine, except it didn't look like the best quality. I really couldn't recommend this hotel.

Place was great with aircond & hot shower. Do not compare with Hilton since u r a budget traveller.. Amenities nearby. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. Transportation to everywhere was very easy!!! Will be staying here if we come again. Best budget for a city hotel

Great location and very helpful staff
I stayed at the Amaris Juanda a total of 5 nights. The hotel is very well located. Istiqlal and Monas are a short walk away. Grand Indonesia Mall and Gambir station can be reached by taxi in about 10-15 minutes. The room was very clean, modern, although small. Breakfast was very good. Mister Isak and the rest of the staff were always very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and want to return there on my next trip to Jakarta.

The staff had no clue about anything, least of all English, the interent did not work most of the time, the food was all local (and not very good) and the location was in a less than desireable location. I supose this is an ok place for local businessmen but definitly not for a foreigner. Glad I was there for only one night.

Good place to stay on a budget...
Amaris Juanda is a nice hotel, located near the national monument and the national museum (which is nice because Jakarta has a lot of traffic). It was ideal for my weekend trip there. The rooms are small, but it wasn't something to complain about. Overall, a good hotel with good service, in a good location, for a good price!
