Very secure and comfortablePosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Dharmawangsa is in a relatively convenient location if you are doing business in downtown Jakarta, a city with legendary traffic jams. It is an older hotel but immaculately cared for. It had a VERY large bedroom and bathroom, which was nice. Perhaps for reasons of privacy, the hotel is not clearly marked. Our taxi driver had to stop and ask directions several times.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel which is nicely located and has friendly staff who provide excellent service. The lobby area always smelled good becuase of fresh flowers and the breakfast buffet had choices to please anyone.

One of the best anywherePosted May 23, 2011 on Hotels.com
Minor mess ups. Butler brought tea instead of coffee but came back 10 minutes later with coffee when he realized the mistake. When we tried to return a wine because it was sour, the waiter could not understand why. The cream color rug in the room could use little spot cleaning. But I am nitpicking. Other than these, service is wonderful, pools are great and room is so quiet you get such good rest. The decor everywhere is sublime and comforting. The staff is well trained and friendly. By far one of the best hotels that I have stayed anywhere.

Great valuePosted Nov 24, 2010
I found the hotel to be as others described it here. The staff was top notch. It was a pleasant surprise right after we checked into the room to have a butler knock on the door and offer to get us anything. The pool was closed for some reason, it had a large tent over it that looked like it had been there for months. The one black mark was the breakfast - so-so quality and $22. Highly recommended!
