My own experience

Overall, could have been better, balconies were not swept, beds were old and sheets worn out. I understand the hotel will start renovation soon and will re-open sometime next year

Pros: Good place to spend the night.
Cons: Include breakfast in room charges.
Location: Close to Pyramid lake and Maligne Canyon.
Located near railway station. A bit noisy at night. Clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. Close to natural attractions (lakes, falls, ...etc.

Close to centre of town

It was good. There was a dog parking next door while the occupants were out on day. I told front desk, but to be fair its not like they can do anything about it. Besides that, I think its kind of steep for what you get. I don't expect much, but the price was steeper than I'd want to pay for what I got.

a good go to place in between exploring

Pros: the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the restaurant onsite was delicious and well presented
Cons: repairs, and upgrading
Location: very close to downtown and shops. easy access to all that Jasper offers
I'd recommend this hotel to friends based on affordability and location to the downtown core. (a short walk) The room was clean but the whole hotel is in need of upgrading and repairs (worn out carpets, chips and cracks in bathroom sink, nicks and dents in walls, patio door screen was bent and broken) The bathroom was very very tiny, and difficult to close the door to use the toilet/bath without being pushed up against the wall When I entered the room the heat was turned way up. It took forever to cool the room down. The heating system is antiquated and is only a wall mount, not the stand alone system of heating/cooling/fan system of most hotels My key card did not work in my room and I had to go back to reception 4 times for new cards. out of 10 cards given to me only 1 worked. The hotel compensated me with free breakfast for my inconvenience. If you're not going to be spending a lot of time in the room it is good value for your dollar.

Nice hotel, good location

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Location
Location: Perfect to walk to Downtown, close to Maligne Canyon and Whistlers
We were most of the time outside visiting the different attractions Jasper has to offer, so this place was perfect. Good price, clean and comfortable if you're not planning to be most of the time at the hotel :)

The room is kind of old but reasonably clean and maintained for your basic needs. It is budget friendly and conveniently located on the main street. The front desk is friendly and helpful.
