Pros: Clean and tidy enough.
Cons: Fridge in room was cool at best.
Location: Jasper is spectacular but would've preferred to save a chunk if coin and stayed at a chain which would've been just as good at a fraction of cost.
Fine and adequate but no better than a Best Western etc. Just a lot more expensive.

Wayyyy overpriced for what you get. The price I paid for a regular room I could've rented a log cabin with a fireplace. Very doubtful if I would stay there again. They are charging double what the rooms actually worth.

Thank you for your comments. Jasper does offer numerous accommodations providers, covering a wide range of pricing. Expedia bookings do require pre-payments up front, which ensures a very transparent way of determining pricing comparison. We look forward to having you visit Jasper once again, and wish you luck in finding accommodations suited to your budget.

Sawridge

The hotel was nice but better for individuals without kids. To make it short, i found the room too hot. The air conditioner cycled on and off every 3 minutes not allowing the room to cool off and very annoying to try to sleep through. The room was facing the cetre of the hotel so opening a window was not an option. I will not return to this hotel.

We are most concerned the faulty air con unit reduced your stay to a disappointing experience. We have alerted our maintenance department, so as to ensure a prompt fix to this mishap. Please accept our apologies, and thank you for making us aware of this issue.

Not worth the money

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Clean hotel, good staff, but not worth the money. Had to pay an additional $20 to "upgrade" my room in order to get a window facing outside; the room I booked had only windows where the other side was a dining room. I went to Jasper to see mountains darnit! Also, for the price, the room should come with a free breakfast of some sort.

We are truly sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. The Expedia website is very clear as to the room types offered - and the various features of each room type. Likewise for the difference in pricing. We hope you will consider returning, and will recommend you opt for an outdoor view room. Once again, thank you very much for sharing your opinion, and your concerns.

Staff were excellent with letting us check in early and drop our bags. We then headed to the ski hill for the day without having to worry about them. Found the staff in the restaurant also extremely good and pleasant to deal with.

Worth the Walk

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Lovely clean rooms with great view.
Cons: Put a bracket on the bottom of the door to reduce the light and noise.
Location: The wild life excursions are a must and just generally wandering around the town and absorbing the atmosphere.
This hotel is about a 20 minute walk to town but was worth it to us as we found the room perfect for our needs. We had requested a balcony room with a mountain view which is exactly what we got. We did not want to be near the swimming pool area and our room was lovely and quiet until the morning busyness started. There is quite a large gap under the door which does let in too much light and noise. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a great size and our 2 night stay was a good experience. I guess the only downside (for some travelers) would be the 20 minute walk to town but this didn't bother us at all - you could always hire the bikes from the hotel if you found this too much. We ordered a dinner meal from room service which was superb - but beware the standard tip rate added on of 17%(?) which is quite high. Lovely food though!

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased your stay was both pleasant and memorable. Do note the hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle service to the downtown core, from 8am to 8pm, on the hour (on request). However, as you have mentioned, the walk to town never does get tiring with the incredible view of the surrounding mountains. We will very much look forward to your return visit.

Thank you very much. We look forward to your return visit! The town hiking trail, which provides access to a myriad of trails (on Pyramid bench), is located a few metres away from the rear portion of the hotel!
