Jefferson Park Vacations
Jefferson Park is the perfect place to stay in Chicago as many of the city’s main attractions are within easy reach. Two of the places not to miss are the marvelous Portage Park and the remarkable Six Corners. Also, be sure to check out the Emily Oaks Nature Center and the Skokie Theatre.
Chicago’s center is also home to Willis Tower and McCormick Place. Should you have the time, be sure to check out Millennium Park and Hancock Tower before heading back to Jefferson Park.
Stop by some of the nearby museums and galleries, which help make the area such a unique vacation destination. There are plenty of excellent destinations to take the family for an afternoon such as the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Skokie. Culture vultures will find plenty to applaud at venues such as the Rosemont Theatre, the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie and Neo-Futurists.
When it’s time escape the city, visit one of the many nearby green spaces. There are some nice urban parks, so take a picnic blanket to Hanson Park.
Sports fans visiting Jefferson Park should book tickets for Ryan Field, Evanston to see the Northwestern Wildcats football doing battle with visiting teams. Be sure to wear purple and white, the colors of the Northwestern Wildcats football.
