"Second visit in 6 months"
This was our second visit to Jerez and our second stay at Tryp. That should say enough. But to add a bit more, the location is perfect. It's right at the entrance to the pedestriaised area where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. there is a taxi-rank right outside and a bus-stop should you choose to use the buses. Taxi from the airport is €16. The staff are excellent and helpful to the nth degree. The hotel was fairly busy during our stay (over Christmas) with a number of families with young children, but was blissfully quiet. (Oh and the bar prices - virtually the same as the bars outside. Now there's a suprise.)

"Lovely hotel close to centre with helpful owner"
We stayed here on new year's eve. We had hoped to have a night on the town visiting the tapas bars but everything was closed! The owner was so welcoming and helpful. She had a list of all the restaurants and bars in town and rang around to find out what would be open. She then recommended a flamenco place which was doing a dinner with a show. We had an absolutely wonderful evening. The next morning we were feeling a little worse for wear and had not booked the room with breakfast. The owner offered us toast and coffee and whatever we wanted from the buffet breakfast even though we only turned up at the front desk at 11 a.m.. The room was clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom. All rooms are set around an internal patio where the breakfast is served. It is right near the historic centre with all major sites in easy walking distance. Street parking outside the hotel was relatively easy too. We would highly recommend this hotel.

"Fantastic hotel overlooking Plaza Rafael Rivero"
We loved our room. It was vast! It had extremely high ceilings, three large windows and Juliet balconies. The bathroom was also extremely large; housing a walk in shower with a myriad of shower options, a Jacuzzi bath and his and hers sinks. There was a small garden to sit in, a courtyard and a sizeable hall/lounge to relax in. Breakfast was wonderful; fresh orange juice, selection of breads/croissants, fruit, yogurt and either cheese or meats served with delicious coffee. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Adorning the public areas were very stylish objects d'art and massive paintings. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

"Great value!"
We have stayed here before and think that this hotel is amazing value. The rooms are comfortable with a small balcony and a good bathroom. Lovely swimming pool and gardens, all the staff are friendly and this time made some great restaurant recommendations. Yes there are coach tours but we did not eat in the hotel so these did not impact too much . Very pleasant walk into Jerez, and close to other things you may choose to do.

"Excellent small boutique style hotel"
Had a lovely 3 night stay in this hotel. Loved the ambience, quiet and personal which meant you felt special and not lost as in a bigger mainstream hotel. The outside areas and the pool were lovely, quiet and tranquil yet in the city centre! Food was good too. It was a 15 minute walk into the main centre but still a good location for the local sights. I would certainly look forward to going back and doing the tapas / sherry tasting menu !

Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz Hotel Guide

An attractive little town, Jerez is famous for sherry (a corruption of its name) and its equestrian school. Several bodegas invite visitors to see how sherry is made. The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art is open to the public daily to watch training, with a show every Thursday. The big annual event is the Spring Horse Fair where the mounted sherry barons are prominent. Also see the 11th-century walls of the old Moorish palace.
