“Great place to stay close to NYC”

This hotel was clean, the rooms were nice with a kitchen area. Bed was comfortable, although a king size bed, which they don't offer, definitely would have been better. They have a small pantry shop in the lobby which offers some food at a reasonable price and complimentary coffee. The area is industrial so you definitely need a car, but the train station is an $8 cab ride away and cheaper than parking your car there. The train station is only a mile or so away and its just a little over 10 minute ride into New York's Penn Station. There is shopping and restaurants not far away. It is next to the highway and because its industrial there was a lot of tractor trailer traffic so it was a little noisy for someone who isn't used to traffic. I was quite pleased with this hotel for the price and the accommodation's it provided. I will definitely be going back to stay and would recommend it to friends and family.

“Overall Rating Was Right”

We chose this hotel because of the 4.7 overall rating, which was dead on! Hotel common areas and rooms were very clean, well lit and well designed. Room was inviting, appliances clean and bed comfortable. Towels were semi-plush and plenty of them. We checked in very late (abt 2 AM), but desk clerk was friendly and professional (and awake!). Convenient parking right in front of hotel's entrance, which was important for females traveling w/o males. We had business in Jersey City, but hotel is just a few minutes from Secausus outlets and Holland Tunnel/NYC. Rate was more than we wanted to pay but overall comfort was worth it. (We're picky people.) Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

“Low rate/close to NYC”

This hotel was great! We wanted to spend a few days in NYC but didn't want to pay a lot for a hotel. The hotel was a minute from the train station, then the train is a 5 minute ride into Penn Station (Times Square). The room was a little on the cramped side with 4 adults, but worth every penny we paid. There is a nice store in the lobby to purchase snacks and food. Very handy after traveling 6 hours to get there.

“Phil's visit 4/1 thru 4/4/10”

Over all very pleased!!! Nicer than I expected and not very old. The only minor thing, very minor, is that there's no ice machine as each unit has a refrigerator with ice maker but that is slow so there's no ice avaiable for some time. A central ice maker would be appreciated.

“Great hotel in convenient location”

The neighborhood is not great, but the location is fantastic with a free shuttle to the train station and then frequent trains 12 mins journey to Penn station. The staff were great and the hotel was new, clean and well appointed. Cheapest way to stay in decent accomodation anywhere near NYC and very convenient.

“Clean, comfortable, and a short train ride to NYC”

We planned a trip to Montclair NJ and New York City and were looking for a moderately priced hotel in-between. We initially had some hesitation about Secaucus but actually it was a great choice, especially since we had our car. We could easily get on the NJ Turnpike and other major highways, and the big NJ Transit train station was a 3-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel itself was new, clean, comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us plenty of good advice about getting around and were super-nice. The only disappointments were that the towels were a little coarse and the lack of a bottle opener in the room (our room was a suite with a kitchenette that was otherwise very well equipped). We asked the front desk but they had lost all of their bottle openers. Pretty minor complaints, though, this hotel was a great value in a great location (as long as you have a car).

“TRULY IMPRESSED !”

I was very pleased with this hotel ! The room was SO CLEAN ! The kitchen was fully stocked if I need to use it and downstairs by front desk had snacks that were REALISTICALLY priced. Staff was so helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again myself. So close to NY was such a plus and so close to shopping mall in Secaucus was a plus also. Enoy !!!!
