Nice hotel to stay close to Manhattan.

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Inexpensive but offering spacious room and free parking.
We used to stay at a hotel at Chalsea district, New York, that is close to our customer. But the price of that hotel soars to double of Holiday Inn Exp, we choose to stay at Holiday Inn Exp instead. The hotel staffs are really nice, and the room space is larger than the hotel we used to stay at Chelsea, Manhattan. There's no good restaurant or coffee shop in walking distance, but theres's a plaza with varies species of foods within 10-minute driving distance. It's is convenient to drive through the Lincoln Tunnel to Manhattan, which takes about 50 minutes at rush hours.

Great hotel for families

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: spacious. close to NYC.
Cons: The breakfast was too simple. Not enough variety of healthy food for the family.
This hotel was great for our family vacation in NYC. The hotel was very comfortable. It was close to NYC. The shuttle service was great. Instead of taking 2 rooms in Manhattan, we took a large room and saved a lot of money.

Not pleased

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: not much
Cons: Rooms need to be better maintained. Toilets must be working.
The hotel is rather old and not well maintained. There was a weird "cleaner/perfume" smell that was rather strong. But these were manageable. The worst part: toilet was plugged and it did not open during our stay (1 night). In the morning I told the front desk, but we needed to leave by 9 and in a couple hours while we were at breakfast and later on, noone came to unplug the toilet.

Great place to stay to visit New York City!

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Cons: Having a more economical shuttle bus that came right to the front door would be really helpful.
Location: The location is a bit odd. Kind of set in the middle of nowhere.. not the place to stay if you want to do something at the hotel.
We choose the hotel because we wanted someplace very close to the City without having to drive into that madness. This hotel fit the bill! The rooms were bigger than I expected and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The only drawback was that the bus we had to take into the city was at the top of the hill at another hotel. This one had a shuttle that was much more pricey than than the bus we took and they required an hour ahead reservation... not really a good thing when we were unsure of how late we would be each night in the city. Overall the we enjoyed this visit and would consider using it again.

Hotel close to New York

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: The breakfast
Pros - The hotel is located very close to New York. A shuttle service is available daily which makes it easy to get to and from New York. The complimentary breakfast is awesome. The variety is great, the food is fresh and seems unlimited. Cons - The hotel room was small and the ceiling is low. The bed was not comfortable.

stay at hotel

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: The concern for the customer's needs.
Location: Everything to do is on the other side of river and with limited shuttle service be prepared for extra expenses .
Was misled as to shuttle service hours by the hotel staff . Had to drive my car into city at a 75 dollar extra expense for tolls and parking. Basically told by the hotel that, that was too bad . Customer service was rude and unconcerned . Will never stay here again .

Don't stay here to go to Meadowlands Expo Centre

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: The bed was great.
We stayed here to go to a seminar at Meadowlands Expo Center. The bed itself was very comfortable, that was really the highlight of our stay. We stayed for 5 days and each day were faced with how to get to the Expo Center and back. When we booked on line it appeared we could walk or bus. You CANT, so we were at the mercy of taxis which happen to be unregulated in this area and can charge whatever they like , if you are able to get one. There were 7000 people at our seminar so you can imagine this was a real issue. Also besides the restaurant attached to the hotel there is nowhere else you can eat in walking distance. If you have a car or don't need to go anywhere it may work for you. This room itself was comfortable although staff were not friendly and they have a deal with one taxi company so will not call anyone else for you if you ask.
