Good location

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.The location is perfect.The transportation is just outside the hotel.Easy access going to new york.10 minutes going to timesquare.Staff was friendly.Breakfast not that good.Overall good location with the standard room.Will stay here again.:-)

Is it the fanciest hotel? No. Is it great for the price? Absolutely! Friendly staff, comfy beds, flat screen tv, fridge and microwave in the room and convenient $3 shuttle into the city. Great way to do NYC on the cheap.

For the price it's a good motel, very busy streets and lots of traffic noise. The shuttle is good, if you get on the right one, the correct one is the white bus shown in the lobby. DO NOT get on the black one, unless you don't value your life....the driver is constantly on the phone , is trying to pick up traffic at red lights, almost got into several accidents and dropped us off on some seedy side street near times square.Hotel is showing its age, but on the plus side the rooms are nice and the staff pleasant .

Pros: Comfort & shuttle services to NYC
Cons: Bathrooms with tubs
Staffs were friendly as they allowed parking beyond checkout time as we had to catch up with other stuffs.

I only wanted a place to sleep for the night. I would have perfer a cleaner room. Found a lot of human hair here on the rug and on the side of the bed Pieces of wrappers of food. The coffee machine was dirty. Didn't feel safe sleeping on the bed wasn't sure if my sheets and blankets were clean ...

Super 8 a great place to stay if you're looking to go into NYC. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done if you're not too picky! Clean & comfortable after long day out in the city

Front desk staff tried to rip us off!

Please do yourselves a favor and book somewhere else! I booked TWO rooms, one for me, one for my friend. Paid in full. Bank account confirms the money is deducted. Expedia shows room booked confirmation. Without thinking twice, we start our journey, me from DC, him from Boston. We were meeting halfway in NYC and staying here at this Super 8. My friend from Boston reached an hour before me, went to the reception and produced his driver's license so they could check him in. The staff at the wait desk informed him that Expedia had turned down my credit card (today morning) so the room had been cancelled!! So my friend asked them to search under my name, and the staff gave him same story: the reservations have been cancelled. He called me, and I told him to sit tight. I arrived and gave him my driver's license. This time the staff told me I have only 1 room to my name, not 2. He said Expedia might have messed up and booked only 1 instead of 2! I called up Expedia, waited on hold for about 40 minutes before getting a rep, explained situation. The rep called the motel, and then the front desk guy was motioning me to come over. Magically, that second room appeared. It was under my friend's name! What a sham! Just over 2 hours ago, this guy was insistently telling us we did not have a room, and now it is there. And he changes his story of how we did not give him proper ID initially! We had to goto another hotel fearing for our belongings here.

Bad area. Poor breakfast. Loud AC unit, had to jam coffee accessory packet into vent to quiet the vibration. Tiny parking lot.

I had prepaid for this hotel otherwise would have stayed elsewhere. I was very disappointed that this hotel did not have any elevators for easy access to the 2nd floor. The breakfast was typical for a motel, but it would have been nice had there been more of a variety of fresh fruit. I did not like the location of the hotel, although the shuttle was an excellent attribute, the return ride did not take us to the hotel. Instead, we had some walking to do and I personally think the area was less than desirable. The staff were very polite and professional.
