“Jersey gem”

Geoff and Carolyn were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was very tasty. The guesthouse is ideally located to visit St Helier, and is a short walk from the beach.

Would definitely go back. My single room was very simple, affordable, clean, comfortable and perfect for my needs. The breakfast choices were excellent and the hosts, Geoff & Carolyn were very gracious and helpful in suggesting places to eat and see in Jersey.

We were welcomed with info about the island Hosts very easy going and have put a lot of thought to making sure guests are comfortable. Comfortable Bed and Room with excellent breakfast

“A good base next to Havre des Pas promenade.”

We stayed in Bay View guesthouse when going to a wedding in St. Aubin, the other side of the bay. It is easy to get around the island by the good bus service, including from the airport, although some services only once an hour. They come in and out of Liberation Square in St. Helier. This meant no problem staying in Havre des Pas. It is on the other side of the big hill from the centre of St. Helier (Fort Regent / South Hill) but only a ten minute walk via the footpath in the road tunnel to Liberation Square (not pleasant but quick). Or you can walk over or around the headland and along the docks in 15 minutes. Bay View is very convenient for the promenade in Greve d'Azette Bay (literally just over the road behind the new developments), and two minutes to the Havre des Pas outdoor pool. Friendly service. Lots of useful information and tips. On the front a busy main road but good double glazing. Maintenance being done at 8.30am on Sunday we found a strain but presume a one-off. We found everyone in Jersey very friendly, loved the Durrell Wildlife Park (Zoo), good beaches and bays, good food and ale. A huge amount of traffic in the towns but very courteous drivers.

“Bay View Guest House”

We were disappointed in this hotel as we were expecting more for a four star rating. The room was very small and the bathroom was very outdated. The shower was horrendous. Extremely small and lacking water pressure. The restaurant was very good and I'm wondering if that's how they get the 4 stars. Parking was not close by. The staff was very personable and helpful, but did not make up for the rest. Thank you for the opportunity to review.
