Nice location, great pool, helpful staff.Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast,
Cons: Room servicing
Location: Plenty to do - all of St Helier within walking distance.
Had a great time here. The hotel is in a great location and even though we had a park view we still had a great view of the beach and sea from our room on the side of the hotel. Breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had in a long while. We did question the room servicing as the turn down service didn't seem to happen and our towels weren't even hung up or touched. Apart from that, great.

Excellent hotel in good locationPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Very friendly, nice touches a hand written welcome card and fresh fruit in the room, the bed turned down in the evening whilst we were at dinner
Location: Good location and one of the very few hotels with a terrace were you could sit to read or eat and drink in the sunshine, plenty of trips.
The staff are plentiful and very well trained extremely polite and often trying to strike up conversation. The food in general is good excellent breakfast choice , we tried the quite expensive lobster platter for two and we both were rather disappointed but other than that all the food was good. The location is good directly across the main road is the beach and it is a ten minute walk into the busy town center. The island is very clean and you feel safe no time share touts or people trying to give you tickets to clubs, bars or restaurants. We took our car and whilst touring the island, which was a joy, we stopped for fuel the attendant asked if we were tourist when we replied yes he gave us a 10% discount and a voucher for another discount should we refuel again. We will return.

Lovely hotel with excellent staffPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Food, drink, staff, atmosphere
Cons: A very minor point is the shower in the bathroom, it took a long time to heat up, but that is all
Location: Excellent location opposite the beach in St Hellier, fantastic views across the bay to St Aubin. 5 mins walk to main bus station
We had 3 excellent nights at the Grand Jersey. The terrace with its bar and kitchen is definitely worth every penny. We ate there twice, having a fabulous evening meal and enjoying afternoon tea the following day in the sun! The evening meal in Victorias restaurant was also excellent, as was the buffet breakfasts. All the staff were very polite, efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. We would go back tomorrow!

would definitely return herePosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The position of the hotel, the staff, the spa, the yummy breakfast
Cons: We missed a quiet area outside to read and snooze ;0) but appreciate that this isn't possible
Location: Perfect location for town centre, restaurants, promenade and bus stops
Lovely hotel where the staff are second to none especially the head concierge who couldn't do enough for us from the minute we walked through the door, we were only sorry he wasn't on duty the day we left so we could thank him. Our room was a little on the small side but didn't both us too much as we didn't spend too much time in it but it was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean - well done The Grand.

As near to perfection as it gets.Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Excellent location, excellent staff without exception, great welcome, comfortable and quiet room, great terrace bar, Victoria restaurant food.
Cons: My only negative would be the shower arrangement which was a little "old fashoined" with a curtain that clings and support bars which get in the way.
Location: Beach across the road. Bus stops to all points on the island just outside the hotel. Elizabeth Castle is close and its a short walk to shops etc.
Our visit was our first to Jersey, a 3 day stop to celebrate 50 years married. The Jersey Grand exceeded our expectations by a margin. From our first welcome by the concierge we were treated with friendly courtesy and attentiveness. The facilities are excellent as was the view from our seafront window. The air conditioning handled the hottest July day on record without trouble. The Victoria restaurant provided a wide range of choice for dinner and breakfast and there are several comfortable lounge areas. The location is excellent, being a short walk to the town centre but with a choice of local restaurants to suit most tastes. Bus services for access to all parts of the island are just outside and tours will call at the hotel if booked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the people of Jersey who were all welcoming and friendly. We will return to this lovely island and its people.

nice hotel and close to the beachPosted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: near to the beach, easy access to the facilities etc.
Cons: we were very satisfied with our hotel.
Location: easy access to everything, overlooking the beach and the main road etc.
we struggled to get into hotels in Jersey for last week, didn't realise that it was the Jersey Games, so we had booked one night in one room at the Grand and the other 3 at a higher priced room, when we checked in they upgraded us for the one night room to the higher priced room, so were very accommodating.

DisturbedPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Very convenient
Cons: Access to the front entrance
Location: Close to all amenities maybe spoilt by extra large office building at the side of the hotel
A wonderful holiday ruined by waking up at 7 am to construction work going on at the side of this hotel. Everything about the hotel was very good, my room was very comfortable but the works noise ruined my well earned rest, a pity. I would re-visit this hotel but would request another room than 204

Old fashioned comfortPosted Jun 28, 2015
A stroll back in time when service was everything. The hotel is dated but in a good way and gives you a lovely feeling of how things used to be. If you like a touch of class you will love this hotel.
