Terrible staff and breakfastPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Clean room
The breakfast buffet was a mess, the 'hot' breakfast was cold and the reception staff are rude!

Thoughts on the hotel.Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The staff and the food.
Very friendly, helpful staff. good food. bedroom a long way from reception. a very hot room, difficult to have the window open because of the pigeons outside that were very noisy. a fan was provided though.

lovely hotel close to beach, town and bus stationPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Very friendly atmosphere older guests mixing with younger guests, very clean.
Location: 5 minutes from beach and town centre in other direction variety of shops and restaurants. War tunnels and St Brellards Bay definitely worth a visit.
Booked flight and hotel together online. Travelled from Southend with easy jet ...50 minute flight. Travelled with my husband and 2 teenage daughters, stayed in very clean family room, hotel staff were very welcoming from start to finish. Great breakfasts, outdoor and indoor pools, small games room but also cards and board games available from reception. We used the buses to travel around the island only a 20 minute walk through town ,tours are also available from outside the hotel. Lovely beaches 5 minute walk away from hotel. Variety of shops and restaurants in town we changed Tesco reward vouchers and used in Bella Italia would definitely recommend this.

not allocated room we had bookedPosted Aug 3, 2014
Cons: much bigger breakfast bar, lots of cueing every morning
Location: sea pool,beaches,town,nice walks
First room given was dreadfiul, smelt of damp and had bunk beds instead of two singles as booked.Put into two singles for one night and promised family room next day. This did not happen so the rest of the stay we were in two separate rooms. My children were quite upset about this as we had assured them we would all be together

Good central hotelPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Enjoyed the pool and location
Cons: More space between the tables in the dining room
Location: Good location with parking so easy to walk into town then take the car if going further afield
Apart from the fact that our room was miles from the hotel lobby, we enjoyed our stay.

good old fashioned hotelPosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for 3 nights in sept and it is a clean well placed hotel. The service is quick and efficient. The hotel caters for more mature guests so if you are under 50 you may feel slightly out of place. Overall would stay again at the right price.

Wont recommend to young peoplePosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: Wifi to be provided in the rooms.
The hotel description on expedia is a bit misleading. The room aminities leads you to believe that wifi is available in the room when it is not. wifi is only available in common areas and even where it is available the speed is quite appaling. Apart from that the hotel is quite nice and the breakfast is excellent if you take it with the package. The staff is good. However, the general age of the guests staying in the hotel is on the higher side. Considering they have 100+ rooms we could only see 2-3 younger families and no youg couples at all. Most of the guests staying there are older people.

Nice hotel shame about the entertainmentPosted Aug 18, 2013
Nice hotel, a little dated, but clean and welcoming. Close to beach and shops plus lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. The only downside was the "entertainment" was dire only fit for over 90's. Don't mind a singer of the old songs - but someone with more enthusiasm and better singing voice would be a great advantage.
