“Great short break”

It was our first visit to Jersey - we went for a short mid week break and had a great time. The average age of the hotel guests must have been over 60 and the evening entertainment was geared to them, but I would imagine during holidays the hotel would have many families with the swimming pools, pool tables, indoor games room etc. The hotel had a well laid out garden with plenty of chairs to sit out in. Swimming pool was a great way to relax after a days walking (but was filled with salt water). The decor in the hotel was a bit dated but otherwise a great location to base a holiday if you don't want to be in town.

We selected the hotel without having any previous knowledge of it and based largely on how beautiful the gardens appeared to be. We were not disappointed. The staff were helpful and courteous , the gardens are huge , quite exceptional and are being improved on a daily basis . The pool area is so relaxing with lots of space around the lawns to enjoy the sun. Our room was as it said on the label - clean and airy. We understand that some of the rooms have been refurbished but ours was quite acceptable. We had breakfast in the hotel which was well served by a friendly team plus one lunch in the gardens with a chilled bottle of wine. Lovely! We will certainly return and the hotel deserves to do well under the enthusiastic owners .

“Country hotel”

Very friendly family orientated hotel. It's about 5 minutes drive from St Helier/sea. There is a courtesy minibus into St Helier throughout the day, but if you haven't got transport you might feel a bit isolated in the evening. The gardens are beautiful complete with plenty of sunbeds and 2 swimming pools. Rooms basic but clean.

Westhill country hotel was a fantastic place to stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, nice landscaped grounds with pool, spa and terrace, great for chilling out and relaxing. Lots to do for the children too. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Not recommended as a hotel to walk to St Helier town from if you are not fit. Would be a 35 min walk. Nice hotel and would recommend but not for younger people.

As stated by others, the hotel is a little dated in parts but that should not detract from your stay here. All the staff and management were friendly, efficient and very attentive. Service in the dining room was superb, and meals were excellent. We even tried the bar snacks which were good value. Evening entertainment was varied but may not be to all tastes every night. The hotel is situated ten minutes drive out of St Helier up a hill, so walking is only an option for the fittest, but the regular courtesy bus service makes up for this during the day. If you must drive into town you will need a PayCard to park between 9 and 5. Parking in most other places on the island appeared to be free.

“Good friendly hotel within striking distance of the town centre”

A quiet but friendly hotel in a nice setting giving good value for money. The hotel is a mile or so away from St Helier town centre but is still within striking distance of the town centre for eating out etc. Walking into town takes about 20 minutes and is downhill!! A taxi back from the town centre for the price of a couple of drinks. The hotel has a regular courtesy minibus into and from the town centre for the less adventurous.
