Old, creepy, badly in need of renovation.Posted Jun 28, 2014
Awful ! The hotel had no internet. The room was dirty. The hotel is ancient. I felt like I was in the hotel from the Shining!

Great little hotel near the "Old City"Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of the staff Price
Cons: The internet was a little spotty at times. It was great for most of the day and then extremely slow at other times.
I recently stayed 4 nights at Hotel Addar, and really enjoyed it. The hotel was reasonably priced, the staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast wan't a bad way to start the day. Another perk is that the American Colony hotel is right across the street, and they have a great outdoor restaurant/bar, which makes up for the Addar's lack of one. I would stay there again.

best for value in JerusalemPosted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: rooms are spacious, helpful staff, very nice breakfast
nice family owned hotel, stuff very helpful and very polite, very nice breakfast, not the biggest choise you might get but high quality and very tasteful. situated a few minutes walk to the old city of Jerusalem, 3 minutes walk to one of the main traffic arteries and very close to a stop of the new city train

Addar hotelPosted Jun 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was okay to begin with, then we saw the room and realised it should not have been listed as a 'superior' room. The lights did not work so people had to come and stand on our beds to fix. The floor was never vacuumed from before our arrival nor during our stay. The toiletries were of low quality, not 'Molten Brown' as promised online. On the second morning our cistern began to leak so we woke up to a flooded bathroom. We were told it would be fixed that day but it wasnt, nor were we given another room or any other solution other than to grin and bear it. As i had paid in advance, there was no hope to move to another hotel. The staff were decently friendly but the overall experience was not great.

Near old cityPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our time there (one week). The hotel has seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and the plumbing worked.

Good value for moneyPosted May 18, 2014
Good, clean room with very generous lounge room separate to bedroom. Dated decor but at this price not a concern. Excellent location and good varied breakfast included.

Great value hotel with great locationPosted Jan 20, 2014
Really spacious room, with adjoining living room suite and kitchenette. Great location--10 mins walk to Damascus gate, very close to the tram stop (hence easy to reach from the central bus station). Great value hotel in Jerusalem.
