“Nice hotel near Old City”

The hotel is in a great location, a minute's walk from Yaffa St. and other great streets full of restaurants and great night life. It's also a 10-minute walk from the Old City which makes it a great place to explore Jerusalem. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful and they speak English well. The only low point is the lounge that they advertise as a great place to relax with wine and snacks - the wine and snack selection is almost non-existent. However this is a minor point, and I can certainly recommend this hotel.

“Worth going back here”

Comfortable, well maintained bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Could open window if did not want air-con. Wi-fi signal was not strong on 5th floor but still worked. Breakfast had wide choice. Jasmine at reception always ready to help and give advice.

“good location, attentive staff”

The Harmony is within walking distance of many Jerusalem sites. The hotel is upbeat, and the staff friendly. My room was a bit on the small side, and there was no view to speak of, but overall a nice place to stay.

“No Value”

I did not like this hotel. The rooms was extremely small. The hallways were vry dark with creepy videos playing on a TV screen in the vestibule. It was expensive and no service. It's like a 2 star hotel that charges 5 star prices.

“Disappointed”

This hotel is in a good location but that's about all it has going for it. At the price we paid I would have expected a better breakfast and room than we got. I am not really sure what "boutique" means, but I was expecting something a bit more quirky, interesting and special as I didn't want to stay in an anonymous big hotel. There was nothing really wrong - it was a bog standard small hotel with average service and a not very inspiring breakfast. At the price we paid, I expected something a bit more special and I wouldn't bother again.

“Couldn't sleep!”

We were on the third floor of the hotel, and there was a bar underneath. The noise from the bar was so loud, it was as if our bed were sitting right in the middle of the bar itself. We were kept awake for many hours. Also, our room was so small that we had to keep our suitcases in the narrow entrance hallway. On the plus side, the desk clerk was very nice and the hotel was pleasant-looking. There was also a "Happy Hour" with free snacks and wine, and a somewhat unimpressive breakfast buffet (by Israeli standards). The location was very convenient in downtown Jerusalem. However, we would never stay there again!

“Jerusalem Find!”

Great location! Close to Ben Yehuda and even next door great, inexpensive restaurants! A bit noisy if you have a room facing the street- but the location cannot be beat!! Ten minute walk (and a nice one) down Jaffa Road to the Old City... great places along the way... I would HIGHLY recommend the Harmony!!!!

“Beds Too Short - If you are tall than 5 feet 5 inches, you won't fit - An UnHarmonious Stay !”

You should not stay at this hotel if you are taller than 5 feet 5 inches. We booked a room at the Harmony Hotel for 8 days in January 2010. Upon arrival, after checking in at the front desk (we arrived there in the evening) and entering the room we noticed that the bed was unusually small. We went back to reception and asked if there were larger beds in any of the rooms. We were told that all the beds in the hotel were the same size - i.e. if you are taller than 5 feet 5 inches, you will NOT fit into their beds - even if you lie down diagonally ! The desk clerk advised that we would have to talk with the hotel manager in the morning. So we tried to sleep with legs hanging over the end of the bed - not very succesfully. The next morning, we went to the front desk and were advised that the manager had not yet arrived. Our tour guide had - so we took him up to the room and asked his opinion. He concurred that this was not the normal size of a bed. We went back with him to the desk clerk and he talked to her in Hebrew about this short bed problem. All she would do was to say we would have to wait for the manager. We had to leave with the tour, so a couple hours later called the hotel manager from a museum. The manager was stubborn, petulant, and was frankly obnoxious even to our guide who pleaded with her in Hebrew - and she offered no solution other than to tough it out with the short munchkin sized beds. Needless to say, we checked to a different hotel. An unharmonious stay !
