We stayed in this hotel during Holy Week from 4/17-20/14 and enjoyed our stay. Although our room on the 11th floor could have been updated a bit, it was very nice for the cost. We had a king size bed with plenty of room for the hotel staff to place two (2) roll away beds for our kids (10 & 12 yrs). The roll away beds and our bed was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is a nice alternative to some of the expensive hotels in the area such as the King David and David Citadel hotels if your family does not demand the best and most updated accommodations. Our room was great for a family of four (4) and the bathroom had a two sink vanity. Breakfast was included and had very good choices. Hotel location was within a 10 minute walk to the Old City. Parking was limited in the very small garage, but there is street/lot parking around for a small fee during the daytime hours (free over night).

"Great location rite next to the "shuk" marketplace"
It's location is great next to the "shuk" or Mehane Yehuda marketplace full of food stalls. It is also one block away from Jerusalem's very modern street car system. Ask Shlomo of the Market Courtyard staff to direct you to Marzipan's for the best rugelach you will ever have! Ask him also about this restaurant: סטקיית חצות It is a little ways down from the "shuk" and is where the Israelis go for dinner. On the way to the restaurant, there is also a good "shwarma" place on the left just across from the shuk. Shwarma is like a giant chicken burrito. It is very good and filling. Everyone speaks English so just let them know that is what you prefer.
The area is very safe and I walked around by myself many nights with no problems. The shuk at night turns into little bars and pubs where many Israelis go to for socializing. No noise problems for me.

A great little boutique hotel in the heart of Jerusalem. Only a ten minute walk to the Jaffa gate and close to restaurants, shops etc.
Although the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable.
A delicious breakfast and a happy hour make give guests an opportunity to chat with other guests or just relax in a comfortable environment.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
The hotel is still being renovated and therefore the entrance is a bit dusty and dirty. This should be fixed in the near future.

Lovely hotel superbly fitted out with period furniture and soft furnishings. Cafe/dining room is a meeting place for all kinds of interesting people. Friendly helpful staff, although cafe staff a little slow in the afternoons. Oud and drum music from local duo on Friday evenings.

"Fantastic classy hotel just off Ben Yehuda street"
Probably best hotel I have stayed in in Israel. Decor excellent, staff very pleasant (Israeli hospitality staff normally greet you with open hostility). Breakfast excellent and there was complimentary snacks in the evening. All in all made our stay in Jerusalem very memorable. Highly recommended
