Has the potential to be better.Posted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Close location to shops, food and the Old City of Jerusalem. Very reasonable rates.
Cons: Get rid of the carpet and damp mildew smell. Now this again was only experienced in my and my friends room. I'm sure their other rooms are nice.
Location: Excellent location, close to food, fun, shops, and the Old City of Jerusalem.
There were pluses and minuses to my experience. The hotel is in an excellent location very close to many shops, food, cafe's, the "light rail" and most importantly the Old City of Jerusalem.(a plus) I stayed for two nights and both nights there are bars right outside the back of the hotel and the noise level was inappropriate and went on well past 2:00 in the morning. The staff informed me that they are working on a solution with the owners. The building and facilities are actually very nice, and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. As for my room, I wasn't expecting much but didn't mind the small size. The bed sheets, linens, and towels were clean and fresh but upon entering the room for the first time I noticed a moldy smell. I had a friend come to stay here as well and his room had the same problem. As I looked around I found the source which was the carpet. By the shower and somehow on the opposite side of the room by the small fridge the carpet was wet. Then I noticed that when showering somehow the water is getting out beyond the boundaries of the glass walls. Now if this goes on multiple times with multiple guests then you will get mold from the carpet being wet constantly. Everything in the room was nice except the carpet which looked dirty too. If they could just get rid of it completely or stop it from getting wet then it would be perfect. I mean no insult by writing this, and hopefully this will help. Just being honest. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The location couldn't be better. You are just steps off Jaffa Road. Short walk to the Old City, good shopping nearby, lively street at night, handy light rail. Good pubs and cafes nearby.

Pros: The proximity to the Old City.
Location: The location is very close to the Old City and by taking a short walk you can arrive at the Jaffa Gate to start your exploring of the Old City.
Upon arriving at the hotel I was greeted at the Reception and then escorted to my room on the first floor. As there are three floors and there aren't any lifts in the hotel the weary traveller has to carry their luggage up flights of stairs. The rooms are very small and but have the basic amenities. Breakfast and WiFi Internet were included in the package. The Breakfast had a good selection of basic food for travellers from any part of the World. The WiFi Internet was reasonably poor and on occasion I had to leave the room to obtain a connection. The hotel is reasonable value for the money when compared to similar hotels in Jerusalem.

Great location and in house breakfast buffet!Posted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: Clean, safe, good breakfast buffet, fridge and hot pot in room, and location, location, location!
Cons: The size of rooms and a chair.
Location: Great location, close to Jaffa st. Mass transit will take you to Old City or Knessit. However, most things worth seeing are within walking distance.
I stayed for nearly two weeks. Very good value for a moderate B&B hotel. Very clean, safe (I am a woman and was comfortable), and close to Old City and great mass transit. It could be a little noisy (ear plugs work great), outside in the neighborhood, late at night (because you are close to everything). Breakfast buffet is in a nice in house room, on the ground floor of the hotel, and run very well by a nice lady. I was impressed (my seventh trip, but first time that I was not on a tour and staying at four+ star hotels with buffets), she had the usual Israeli breakfast, but also some nice surprizes (hot chocolate, sweet bread, scrambled eggs, etc). Interesting history, some of the founders of new Israel stayed there in the 40s, (reminded me of a nice place where "Bogie" would have stayed in the movie "Casablanca"). Staff were helpful, but some really stood out (thanks to Manyan, Hodia, Messab, Zvi, Michael, and Nedav). I would highly recommend, as a base, for being out touring all day. (Word to the wise, even though the staff warn you, be careful of taxis unless highly recommended. I tried not to use any, but when I finally had to, everyone of mine cheated me. If you have a problem, be sure to get their car license number, and turn them in at the tourist bureau at the Jaffa Gate.)

Jerusalem Inn is at a great location with an excellent staff. The room was pretty comfortable but may have been a little over-priced. Jaffa street is right around the corner and that is where all the stores and restaurants are located. There is also a tram that runs through Jaffa and goes throughout the city. The price was something like 6.60 shekels ($1.50 USD). Most of the holy sites are within 10-20 minute walking distance; the inn has maps of the city at their counter. Be careful with the taxis as some, not all of them, will over-charge. The staff will help with directions and even warn you about the taxis and any other thing you need to know. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They assisted with setting up tour trips. Any questions I had, they do their best to find an answer. Their English was excellent and a couple of them spoke some Spanish as well. Cleaning staff did an excellent job with the rooms and linen. They were very respectful of a person's property. The bed was extremely comfortable. The TV had English, Russian, Hebrew, and Spanish channels; most of the channels were English and Hebrew, though. I feel the hotel was over-priced though. I spent the night in larger rooms in hotels that also had a laundry room (they will drop off your clothes at a laundry facility for 55 shekels) and fitness room on site. However, there is a gym in the Old City called Challenge. Anyways, I spent $125/night..should have been a little less than that.

Great value for money with very helpful staffPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Excellent staff and great location.
Cons: Bathrooms were a little unclean
Location: Just off the main Jaffa street and within walking distance of the old town. Quick to link to transport for anywhere needed.
The hotel was in a good location and comfortable. The staff were very willing to help with travel arrangements and the like. The breakfast was tasty and had good variety. I would certainly recommend this as good value for money and a comfortable hotel.

Great location, nice service, clean, but TINY ROOMSPosted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was nice except the rooms were TINY. The bathroom was added INSIDE the room as a partition for a tiny shower stall and tiny toilet stall. I've never seen anything like it. Totally clean and fine, but definitely not what I was expecting and below standard levels of comfort. Otherwise, I would still recommend this place. The service was great and friendly, and the location is 10 minutes walk from the New Gate to Old Jerusalem.

Pros: cute little room, comfortable bed, liked having a balcony, and love the breakfast. 2 minute walk to the center of town, and good, cold A/C
Cons: make the bathrooms not be so much a part of the room. Improve the drainage from the shower, it got the carpet a little damp.
Location: Literally a 2 minute walk to the center of the action. lots of bars, food, shopping and transportation right around the corner.
I enjoyed my stay here. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, great location, comfortable room and bed, good, cold A/C, a cute little balcony and that great Israeli breakfast. And the price could not be beat for all that. (I was even able to live without an elevator, but I was on the 1st floor)
