Wonderful hotel. Only problem I had was the internet, even after I bought premium service (and paid for it) it did not work well

ideal location

Posted Dec 8, 2013
Pros: its bold solid structure and its history!
Cons: just some small details in maintenance in lobby, restaurant chairs/tables
a bit expensive to my taste and in comparison with similar 5 star luxury hotels in other cities or countries, the location and the exclusive and elegant atmosphere I guess makes it worth. The rooms impeccable and recently renovated but the rest of the hotel shows some normal "wear" that you would not see perhaps in a RitzC or alike with similar price

King David would be proud

Posted Nov 29, 2011
Location: Near old Jerusalem
Great room on 6th floor with a spectacular view of the old city...watched the sunrise from our window. Service was excellent, room was large and clean with high ceilings and right balance of old+new (large flat panel TV and TV in glass in bathroom, etc). Highly recommended!

A classic

Posted Dec 10, 2009
The King David is of course a classic, and my one day and one night there topped my recent stay in Israel. To me it was worth the money. Service was perfect. I arrived by rental car at the main gate and to my surprise the car was immediately taken care of by valet parking, and it was free of charge! Just a tip the next day. The hotel lobby and large breakfast room were wonderfully decorated, in old Jewish temple style. The buffet breakfast is gorgeous, even when you are a seasoned traveller. The old-town view from my 2nd foor room was marvellous and inspiring. The rooms are large and generous, the decor is more on the plain and comfortable side. The hotel recently added a work-out place and a sauna. This is maybe the only thing in the hotel that still needs to be thought through a little bit more. For instance, there is little space to rest in between different sauna sessions. But, overall, the King David is a perfect place to relax and to dream.
