Loved this hotel & the location. Got an evening check-out on Saturday due to Shabbat, but cold breakfast only that day. Definitely will be back!

Nice modern hotel but overpriced
Posted Jan 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a very nicely constructed hotel in a great location near Mamilla Mall, rooms are well proportioned with good fittings and the hotel is within easy walking distance of Jaffa Gate. Our overall experience here was a positive one and while the hosts were very helpful the slow front desk service let the hotel down somewhat. Whilst the Mamilla is a good luxury hotel in an expensive city for hotels, we felt that the Mamilla was overpriced for what it was.

Beautiful hotel, unbeatable location, friendly and courteous service. Extremely modern, which works most of the time, but could use some standard less modern features, such as hooks in the bathroom to hand a robe or a towel..

Amazing Hotel...........poorly trained staff with no decision making ability
Posted Jan 8, 2010
This is a GREAT property. BUT, the staff is poorly trained and don't follow through even on multiple requests....even the easiest of things. Check in was a mess, a card welcoming me had someone elses name. Mulitiple situations were a mess................and I am NOT a hard or picky traveler

Mamilla Hotel Jerusalem -- absolutely wonderful !!
Posted Jan 17, 2010 on Hotels.com
The Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem was the first hotel I stayed in on a recent trip to the Middle East. Upon arrival I was extremely impressed with the beautiful and comfortable lobby and the entire staff on duty. Following a quick check in, we were whisked to our room and received instructions on the operation of all the wonderful features therein. Little did we know that the Mamilla experience was just beginning. Our five days and nights were simply a joy. The attention to detail of both the staff, the building services and the food were exceptional. The city of Jerusalem is steeped in culture and history and every day presented a new adventure. Our daily return to the hotel was on the same level. The staff inquired as to our day and always wished to know if there was anything they could do for us at that moment. Outstanding !! When my friend developed bronchitis, the staff really went into action. They arranged for a doctor to make a “house” call to the room on the Sabbath for a full examination complete with the necessary prescriptions which were filled and delivered by the hotel. For the duration of our stay, it seemed that the main concern of the staff was the well-being of my friend. As for the rest of the package, the hotel is very new and part of a major development site adjacent to the “Old City’. Its location is perfect in that on one side is the Old City and the other side is the “new city”. We ate at wonderful restaurants all with a one kilometer walk. The breakfast buffet in the hotel was worth waking up early to sit in the outside terrace, eating the goodies and reading the Jerusalem Post. Dinner at the hotel on the open air roof terrace was a delight. Service in all eating and drinking areas was attentive but not over the top. The room had features not seem elsewhere so I will not spoil the surprise for new guests. Bottom line is the value is there and some. Kudos to Emanuel, Yarno and the beautiful Esthe who treated us like family. A return trip to Jerusalem and many nights at the Mamilla Hotel puts a smile on my face and creates a warm feeling. Experience it for yourself !!!

Unrivalled location. Next to the Jaffa gate of Jerusalems old city. The view of the Old city from the rooftop restaurant is hard to beat. Easy walking distance to eateries, nightclubs, shopping etc. Interesting decor. The extensive use of Jerusalem stone reminded me a bit of a cave- albeit an extremely luxurious one. My room had a tv screen set into the bathroom mirror- enabling you to view your favourite program from the bath-tub.
