Good HotelPosted Jun 2, 2014
Location: Museum at Tower of David nearby (Jaffa gate) is a must to understand the history of Jerusalem, plus superb views of the city and sites.
Stayed in Mamilla for three nights. Great location next to Mamilla shopping mall (upmarket shops with some good cafés and restaurants) that leads by short walk to Jaffa gate of the old city. Hotel is boutique style with stone walls, wooden floors, leather sofas, brown linens, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms a little small but large bathroom with electrically operated opaque/clear glass. Reception areas and in-house café and bar pleasant areas to eat, drink, socialise. Only slight negatives were lack of balcony, indoor rather than outdoor pool, and disappointing breakfast. Breakfast was functional and typically Israeli rather than international breakfast fare, plus limited choice, e.g. No choice of cereals.

Impeccable ServicePosted May 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was fabulous and attended to our every need - tour reservations, driving directions, getting an appointment for my wife right away with a local nail salon when she broke a nail. When we were not very happy with the first room we were given, they went out of their way to move us to a better room the next day at the same price. When we returned to our new room from the afternoon out, the hotel had left a very good bottle of wine and a fruit tray in our room, apparently in response to our initial unhappiness. The location is as good as it gets, a one block walk through the Mamilla mall to the old city. The view from the outdoor rooftop restaurant is the best in Jerusalem. While the standard rooms are very contemporary and well kept, they were not very large. Our biggest complaint in both rooms we had was lack of counter space in the bathroom. Not nearly enough to put out our toiletries and all of my wife's makeup.

Cons: Internet connection within hotel.
Luxury hotel that is walking distance to both the Old City and Ben Yehuda Street.

Nice clean modern priceyPosted Mar 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very nice building, modern comfortable and clean. Generally all went well in hotel - except the concierge/s - all 4 concierges I met were immensely incompetent - unable to give more than the obviously basic city information that the tour brochure offers, and utterly useless in helping to book tours and visits. Other than the concierge service the hotel is quite good.
