Consigliato

Excellent hotel in Jerusalem!Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: I liked the staff, location, and the room itself.
Cons: I don't think the rooms have irons.
Location: Location is excellent. The old city is close and there is plenty to do there alone!
This hotel made my first trip to Jerusalem a memorable one. Here is a summary of the things I liked: Location: Just a ten minute walk to the old city gates. Herod's Gate is the closest but you can walk a little further and enter through Damascus Gate as another option. I walked home late at night and always felt safe. No ATM inside the hotel but that's ok. Just make a left as you exit the hotel and go to the end of the street (1 minute walk) and you will see the ATM. Very convenient. Staff: Truly the gem of this hotel. It seems they make customer satisfaction a priority. From the restaurant to the front desk staff, all were great. I kept seeing Afsa at the front desk and she was wonderful with my questions, booking taxis and tours, directions, safeguarding my luggage, etc. I casually spoke to a man while waiting in the lobby. We talked about different topics when I asked what he does for a living he said he was the owner of the hotel! If i needed anything at all during my stay to just ask. Rooms. Nice size. Area very quiet at night which was appreciated. Room was clean and everything worked. The hotel has wi-fi and it always worked well for me. Restaurant. Breakfast is free and there is plenty of variety. I had dinner there once and the hummus and lamb dish was delicious. For dinner after I did try other places just to mix it up.

Fantastic Location, excellent service.Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff, great value for the money.
Cons: I was happy with everything.
Location: Old City Jerusalem (8 Minutes), Downtown, Nightlife (15 minutes), many little shops and convenience stores around the hotel to buy last minute things.
The hotel is located about 6-10 minutes from Damascus Gate in Old Jerusalem. Also, walking to New Jerusalem in Downtown for all the nightlife and cool bars is about 15 minutes. The hotel itself is very clean and modern enough. The staff is very helpful, explaining everything in great detail, I felt like I had a pretty good idea of the layout for planning purposes.

Fine for budget travelersPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The staff were very helpful/friendly, it has free parking (rare), and the breakfast buffet was quite good.
Cons: Israelis have been trying to figure this out for a long time.
Location: Most tourists stay in West Jerusalem and access the Old City via the Jaffa Gate. The east side is less touristy, and more colorful/adventurous.
Technically I believe East Jerusalem is in the West Bank. Some popular tourist attractions, e.g. Mount of the Olives, is too but its proximity to the Old City helps to blur the line. It was my first trip to Jerusalem, I didn't realize this when I booked the hotel. I only considered the relatively low price. FYI East and West Jerusalem are in the same city, but very different worlds. The location and the neighborhood might make some folks a little uncomfortable.

Great hotel near the Old CityPosted Mar 28, 2015
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during out trip to Jerusalem, and I only have good things to say about our hotel. We were pleased by the breakfast and the service, but most of all the location. Very short walks to the Old City and the Light Rail station.
