Great hotel - Except hallways smelled funny.

Posted Sep 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
My colleague and I were working up in the Galilee, and we had Friday and Saturday off. We wanted to visit Jerusalem so we booked the hotel online a few days before our stay. We found it easily with our GPS; we were met at the entrance and immediately given a free parking place in the basement garage. We were happy to leave the car there all weekend while we went exploring the Holy City on foot. The room was small, but nice - quiet, 2 narrow but comfortable single beds. Fridge, safe, free WiFi, free liter of water, free plate of fruit - all good. Location couldn't be better. 15 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate, Mamila Mall, Ben Yehuda Street. Nice safe neighborhood 2 blocks from Iconic King David Hotel. Staff graciously arranged a bus tour for us on Saturday. Breakfast was wonderful. Good coffee, lots of breads, rolls, pastries, cheeses and salads. Eggs but no bacon. (This is a Jewish country after all, and this is a -mostly - kosher hotel ie. they have one Shabbat elevator and one normal elevator for apostates like me.) My only complaint is that they need to change the brand of cleaning solution or disinfectant they use in the hallways. Whatever they are currently using reminds me of feral cats. It wasn't bad enough that we bothered complaining to the manager, and the smell didn't carry into our room at all. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and hope they took note of my comment on the hallway scent. Maybe it was a fresh paint?

Pros: The rooms,the food,the staff.
Cons: Theroom service menu.My onion soup was salty,I was told 3 different numbers to get thro' to the café.A long wait when restaurant is open for dinner.
Location: A quiet street.Bus transport 2 mins. away to all areas of Jerusalem.A short walk to Liberty Bell Park. Walkable to main shoppig area, and Old City.
My 4th stay in 9 years.Always welcoming,with a courteous staff,a restful environment,a well equipped room,and a copious breakfast.A,pleasurable experience.

Assez proche de la porte de Jaffa

Posted Jul 12, 2014

A very nice hotel, quiet surroundings

Posted Jun 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
A very nice hotel reasonably close to Ben Yehuda and the center of Jerusalem, quiet surroundings. Small, but tidy and comfortable room, spacious enaugh to fit in with baby strollers. Possibility to make tea/coffee. We happened to be in Jerusalem during the sabbath, the sabbath breakfast was very nice. Next mornig the breakfast, served now in another room, was ok, not very luxury, but still about everything you need. Very unique to have live piano playing in breakfast time! At one night we chose to eat at the lobby bar since it was too late for dinner, the fast food there was ok.

Dear Gust, Thank you kindly for taking the time to share your thoughts here. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the location of our hotel and the quiet that is hard to find right near Ben Yehuda street. Glad you found the room suits you, though I am sorry to hear it seemed a bit small. Most promponently, we are so pleased you enjoyed wat we called "chopin and champagne" breakfasts, as we work hard to make sure our guests have a calming atmosphere. Hope you come stay with us again! Buena ubicacion

Posted Jun 22, 2014 on Hotels.com

Great location for the Old CIty

Posted Jun 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
We moved from the Dan Panorama (at the end of our tour) to the Prima Royale to save money. We're glad we did. This is a much home-ier hotel, smaller, Wi-Fi free only in lobby which promotes mingling with other guests, beuatiful roof-top for lounging, watching the sunset, over-looking Jerusalem, easy walk to Mamila Mall and the Old City. We'd stay here again, for sure.
