“Excellent staff and hotel”

Great place - cleaning staff was amazing - nice location - it started to rain and they let us use an umbrella for the duration - very nice of them

“Taste of Europe a short bus ride from the bustle.”

When the receptionist learned that we had arrived by foot she promptly offered everyone in our family cups of cold mineral water. She then accompanied us up to room on the first floor (there was an elevator but we walked) and demonstrated all the appliances. I asked what the price of the bottle of red wine on the kitchen table was and she indicated it was on the house as was a carton of milk in the fridge. This was closer to the American style of room both in size and amenities than anything we have experienced in Europe or the middle east in the :tourist" price range. Although cars are accommodated comfortably, we arrived by bus number 4 from the center of the new city on Emek Refaim (a delightful European style street) and was a 5 minute walk. The next morning we walked from the hotel to the old city - took us through many old but well maintained neighborhoods - about a 30 minute walk. The hotel was quiet and the room overlooked a courtyard of a very large home on a side street.

“Good location.”

The location is great and there are plenty of eateries near the hotel like The Colony or The Workshop and the Grand Cafe where as a guest you get 10% off. The only negative thing I could say is that the sofa in the living room smelled of body odor or sweat and we avoided sitting there as much as we could. The room service was not always at the same time of the day but was adequate. The bathroom is very tight and the shower is small. Having a kitchen and a fridge is convenient. There was a discrepancy on my final bill that I am trying to work out with Expedia and the hotel. They ended up charging me for a night that I was not there. If I come back to Israel I would stay there again. Very convenient to the Old City and City Center.
