“Mixed review”
The controls for air conditioning and heating were backwards. That is, the "stop" control and "start" control were reversed in that when one moved the control to "stop" the utility kicked in and when one moved it to "start" it turned off. I'm not sure the hotel management understood this and it took me a while to figure it out, so I thought the system was malfunctioning.
Given the price, I thought the room was too small with just about no drawer space, although the closet did have adequate shelf space. Also, I had to use a hand held sprayer in the shower and could not direct the regular shower head to come on.
Room service was good and for the most part, so was desk service, although one assistant seemed a little exasperated when I asked too many questions. They did have their hands full, though.
The breakfasts were quite good and more than filling and were a nice perk.
I had a friend stay at the king solomon hotel down the street from me and from the sound of it, they offered a much better deal in terms of quality of TV, size of room, etc. The prices were virtually identical but if I come back I may well try out that hotel in place of this one.
