We were nervous at first staying here. I booked the hotel on Expedia and got a good deal at 65.00. I then started to worry about the quality of the hotel. We needed a cheap but comfy place to stay as we stopped to rest for the night on the way to Virginia. The outside is ok looking. Defiantly has a motel feel and not thrilled about exterior. When we got inside we were pleasantly surprised! Very clean and comfy room. The bed was more comfortable than the one we slept in at a 5 star resort in Virginia. Pros: clean comfy stay Plaza across th street 50's diner next door (breakfast 7.00) Cons: Not great looking outside. Was a lil concerned about car safety No free breakfast

Nice Hotel but the staff was RUDE

From the moment I walked in the girl at the desk was RUDE. I asked how much it would cost for me to upgrade to a room with a fridge and she said, " You have to understand that the price you paid Expedia is not what they pay us." Then I asked again and she said 'a lot". Later that evening I called Expedia wanting to move and when they called the front desk to find out if I could be refunded my money if I left she was told she would have to call back because the front desk was very busy...I stayed on the phone with Expedia and walked to the front desk to find 3 people behind the counter and not a single guest in the lobby. I could hear the phone ringing and they would not answer, I walked in and told them that they needed to answer their phone!! The only good thing was I did move to Extended Stay of America (Columbia) and was refunded my money. I was trying to save money and that old saying you get what you pay for turned out to be true this time....I went cheap and got VERY RUDE service. I will never stay there again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room not very clean, hotel messed up my reservation, room smelled of smoke, towels were dingy. Desk clerk was very nice and apologetic.

Only problem is that People smoke to close to air conditioning on the outside therefore at night when you walk into the ensuite it smells like cigar!

This was my second stay here and I have to say that last year was a lot better in the customer service department than this year. The clerks were very terse and not very attentative. Their stance was very curt and they never greeted me nor wished me a good stay. Nor did they ask me if I had any questions. My room was skipped for cleaning one day. With all this said, the room was clean, the location is great for the weekend traveler whoo has an event and there was ample parking.

Very strong smell of cogarette although it says no smoking. Obviously people who ignore this rule stay there, you should be aware. We had no choice since no hotels were available during memorial holiday. AC is very old brown dirty one, no window, faucet was dirty, housekeeping quality was very poor, just don't stay there, it was a nightmare for us, horrible experience. Will never ever stay in red roof again.
