BaliPosted Jan 23, 2015 on Hotels.com
Stranden är dock under all kritik.

Good value dealPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
Sari Segara is a good option if you want a good value stay, with a large pool in an authentic Balinese architecture setting. Except for the coffee and the omlette station, the breakfast is terrible and they can't make western style cocktails - although the bar staff did genuinely try to make me a bloody Mary, it was wrong and after day one I knew not to order cocktails. I like being near Jimbaran, i would never stay in Kuta anyway, the area is safe, close to beach seafood warungs (go to the warungs south of the hotel, like Dena's Cafe, they're half price of the cafes outside the resort). I sneak into the Intercontinental down the road for swims and try the Belmond for beach side cocktails at happy hour. If you want a cheap get away to Bali, go for it. Just don't except amazing service and the air con in the room I had was noisy but it worked and never kept me awake.

No more than a dayPosted Jan 2, 2015 on Hotels.com
Fine to stay for a cheap night or two. The only decent feature of the hotel is the big pool, but the swim up bar is closed. The big upstairs restaurant and glass elevator raved about on the website are also closed. The general food is not terrible but the breakfast is not even worth waking up for. They often did not have clean towels when cleaning the rooms and the shower leaks water onto the floor constantly, so it was always slippery. Rooms are poorly lit with just one pillow each and old smelly couches so not comfortable to be in. The hotel staff are nice but the front desk area always try to get you to go with their driver friends who charge alot more than a taxi. The area itself is smelly and dirty. The restaurants on the beach in front of the hotel are tourist traps- expensive and poor quality. You have to walk quite a way along the beach to find a decent one. The beach is also filthy and you wouldn't want to walk there, let alone swim, it's just nice for a pretty sunset, but that is everywhere in Jimbaran Bay. Other than those seafood restaurants there is very little nearby to go or to do.

Wrong advertising, old, unhelpful and confusingPosted Dec 26, 2014
Unhelpful staff who couldn't communicate well. Disorganised and no value for money. Broken aircon and smelly bathroom drains. Old and dilapidated hotel which falsly advertises it's photos.

Reinsleg og romsleg.Posted Dec 12, 2014 on Hotels.com

Perfect hideaway!Posted Nov 3, 2014
This place is right on the main strip of Jimbaran's busiest BBQ seafood joints. It is also close to the Fish market. You cross the street and are on Jimbaran Bay's pristine beach. Mornings are silent, afternoons are perfect and evenings while loud end at 10pm. Positives: Here you can have an ocean view room for a reasonable price. The grounds are very nice. They rent out bikes and the streets are empty during the day and perfect for exploring. Negatives: The water here smells swampy when you first open it. Again one of my white coverups was damaged because of my commitment to rinsing it after using it. The staff is not intuitive which means you have to be really clear, and patient. The food is not impressive, well displayed but not tasty. The shower head is not easy to control and is too weak to really get you rinsed quickly. Combined with the water being unclear this was a huge turnoff. Overall, I would go back because the location is great. I would however check out hotels nearby for last minute deals too and eat at the warungs closer to the Intercontinental. Teba Cafe was exceptional!
