Don't just limit yourself to Jincheng; this region has a treasure trove natural and cultural attractions just waiting to be explored. Jiaozuo and Changzhi are two more places worth checking out while you're in Shanxi.
Zhengzhou is approximately 65 miles (105 kilometers) from Jincheng. This regional center contains a great selection of tourist attractions, including Shaolin Monastery, Zhongyuan University of Technology and Mount Song. Be sure not to head back to Jincheng until you've checked out Zhengzhou's Renmin Park, Zhengzhou University and Erqi Pagoda.
One of the delights of exploring this incredible world of ours is employing languages you are not used to, so invest the time to learn a small amount of Mandarin during your vacation. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" translates to "Would you like todance with me?" And, for "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything", you can practice the phrase "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" It's fun to give it a spin!
When the time comes to return to your friends at home, you'll be bidding this special place a fond Zàijiàn (farewell).
