From the moment I arrived at the African Pride Melrose Arch I was impressed with the decor and the courtesy of the staff. My room was extremely comfortable and clean. I've never felt more pampered, and this hotel exemplify what hospitality truly is.

There are many great perks about this hotel that make it unique, such as the artistic ambiance, the great location in the gated, secure Melrose Arch development, the luxurious rooms, the complementary DVDs, top notch facilities, lovely breakfast spread, and relaxing veranda. But what makes this hotel my absolute favorite in the entire world is the staff. Every employee, from those working the door, to the front desk, to the concierge, to housekeeping, go out of his or her way to be helpful and friendly and make all guests feel like this hotel is their home away from home. Particularly when one is traveling alone on business, it is a really nice way to begin and end each day. I will continue to be sure to stay at Melrose Arch each and every time I visit Jo'burg, and recommend it to friends and colleagues.

It is always such a pleasure to be a guest at the Melrose Arch hotel. The location is ideal, staff is extremely hospitable, and rooms are more than comfortable. It is easy to feel quite spoiled staying here. I look forward to returning next year.

Great experience at this wonderful hotel. Extremly friendly staff. Fantastic rooms with everything you could ever want at a hotel including a hi-fi with subwoofers, surround sound, dvd player, a choice of dvd's in a specially designed drawer. Excellent exellent experience.

Great hotel - great place for a business traveler. Beautiful pool and front porch. Very comfortable bed. I felt safe the entire time (gate community) and able to wander around the area for food/shopping/gym and felt very comfortable.

we had a double bed bedroom (that is two single beds), and the beds were very small.
